Too much month left at the end of our money...

Hi all,
Where do I start.. we had a huge amount of debt, just under £60k and through hard work and going without a lot, we have got it down to around £12k.
I say around, as I've taken my eye off the ball of late with dealing with this. No more - circumstances that we are in at the mo, mean I can't be complacent anymore and have to go back to accounting for every penny to ensure that figure doesn't start going up again. Trust me, I can't cope with that stress again, so here I am to be accountable for our pennies every month.
First up, I have to nail down what the figure is we actually owe, so I can start tracking progress towards paying it off.
Thanks for reading..

Agree with the above comments, you have done so brilliantly well in reducing your debt so far. Everyone has a wobble now and again but at least you are back on track and determined to clear the rest.
Good luck

Thanks all for popping in.
So food shop done today, spent £39.04 for the week, so under my budget. I aim for less than £46.15 average a week, so £200 a month. Stupid me forgot to use a 25p voucher which annoyed me, you can tell I'm back on the debt free journey again.
Spent quiet day at home with the kids whilst hubby did some DIY.
Calculated the outstanding debt is 12316 as of 1/8/13. So aim is keep plugging away at it.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Thank you..
So last night, I sold some stuff I'd got in relation to a food plan for £150. Really chuffed with that, but that needs to go towards nursery fees this month, so no real gain, but every little helps.
Also bought some birthday and Christmas presents. I'm a little forward when it comes to Christmas, but absolutely love it as we have a few birthdays to celebrate. Bought 10 gifts for the little people and it cost £12.25 as I had Amazon vouchers from online surveys and Tesco clubcard vouchers, so that massively reduced the cost for those.
Also had confirmation today our mortgage has changed to a fixed deal for five years, means a decrease on the monthly payment of just over £1, but that wasn't the main driver really, knowing we have a fixed payment for 5 years relieves any pressure in respect of interest rates, so another thing off the list!
Just had Graze boxes delivered as well for the little people. Got a free code, which meant the first two boxes were free and they are personalised and kiddie friendly so that will be a nice treat for them when they wake. Talking of which must go cancel the account now, so I don't get charged for future deliveries.
Hope everyone is having a fab day!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Afternoon all, haven't been around for a few days.
Not much progress to report, except a few more Christmas presents bought. Got a few bargains from a site I follow in terms of pressies for the little people. Stuck a few more things on eBay as well.
Off for the weekend to see some family so looking forward to that.

Yet again, I haven't been in for ages. Have decided I will try to do a weekly update rather than every few days.. that way hopefully I'll visit here more..
Money is tighter than ever at the moment, Tax credits have gone down due to the overpayment that I have no idea how it happened and childcare costs have gone up. I am hanging on for dear life until January when we get the free hours for childcare. That said, our childcare hours are going up in January as well.
Plodding away with paying the debt, but not managing to make extra inroads into it over and above the monthly payment, but as long as we are making that payment, that's the main thing.
so, off to visit some diaries and will be back sooner rather than later this time.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)
