I have few cousins, but none in this country. I was an awkward age, born in between generations, so wouldn't naturally have been close to any of them anyway.

Dh's cousins and siblings are similar ages, it makes a big difference.

I have loads of cousins, second cousins etc....and we keep in touch with a good proportion of them too via Facebook.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

    a) Ah.
    b) Brill - and I can do that in the shop, I'll need the PAC for that no doubt.
    c) I wouldn't need to use a phone. I don't use the one I've got....

Then there may be an even cheaper option. Go pay as you go for calls and texts and add a data bundle £5 a month for 500B, £7.50 for 1GB. See here:

    http://www.tescomobile.com/help-and-support/1082-pay-as-you-go/1092-bundles/iphone-5-faqs1

You add to your account some credit for any call text you want to make and Tesco mobile take £5 or £7.50 each month for the data bundle.

You don't need to do the PAC thing at the same time, wiat until you have the code and are ready then phone up.

Apparently Olympic Diver Tom Daley is in a relationship and this requires an announcement on the BBC News website - which century are we living in :(

It was on twitter under their 'breaking news' headline. Honestly, it really isn't headline-making news
I wonder if the way Xmas used to be done compared to nowadays is robbing kids of future memories.

Back when I was a kid, the stuff was used/re-used for years - so it becomes embedded in your memory banks as nostalgic memories. Nowadays, with so much bling and purchasing overload, I wonder if many people are disposing of previous years' decorations on a regular basis.... thus kids won't have memories of the grotty/old bits and bobs that were omnipresent over the years.

Xmas seems more about the parent/s following some celeb's whims or the latest purchase .... and not about creating a Xmas that will be the family tradition.

I was rather put out when I discovered that M&D no longer had the orange robin I'd made from some wool-winding kit aged about 8 ... but they do have some of the other childhood baubles etc on the ancient tree in one part of the house.

I've got an old Woolies tree (branches may fall off any year soon) and I like the more natural decorations from wood or similar. Plus white lights.

Also have lights on windows and round the lounge mirror. Those tiny suction hooks which go on windows are great for this sort of thing. My local chippy uses the hooks to suspend individual decorations in their window. Never thought of that before but it's a good idea for those surplus decorations.

Cheers. This is now my preferred route.
    :)

In the absence of anybody sticking spanners in the works, this is what I will do tomorrow.

Er ... which underlying network is Tesco working on?

    O2.

Re dining tables, we are going to need a long and narrow one, ( my least favourite shape) for the garden room when its done. The garden room is narrow and not sure how it will all work or what sort of chairs.

We got rid of our dining table earlier this year and did not get around to getting another..so at Christmas will be eating off the kitchen table think:(

    Love the BDG Christmas table.

This is the table we would like...one store we approached (near where Nikksters family live I think) could no longer get it and we have not approached anyone else . Time has just ticked on http://www.penderifurniture.co.uk/Pierre-Cayron-Horizon-1-8m-Glass-Table-p/h7180v.htm

    .

Need to think of a non-embarrassing, easy to remember/say new email address.

This is so important. One of my parents is so not this it makes me blush. I have to explain all the time ....its not what it sounds like, its in another language and that word means something different. :o

A kitchen table is a dining table.

Or you could get a folding/plastic, lightweight table - like you often see at car boots. Strong/sturdy, easily portable.

Search for this on ebay,, £30.
FOLDING BANQUETING CAMPING PICNIC CATERING MARKET PARTY OUTDOOR TABLE

It'd come in handy for future garden BBQs/outdoor family meals, those village sales you do .... and all sorts of other times.

Just so I am clear about this phone .... I'll go to Tesco, pick up the new phone, ask them to put me onto the Tesco thingy .... then come home and eventually get round to the PAC number task.

Does this cause any problems, using a number for a few days while I play with the phone, before ditching that number and getting my current number moved over? Or should I not be using the new phone until I've sorted out the number porting?

The only problem I can see is that, if you use the phone to call someone they will see a number that won't exist if they ring you back in 3 weeks time.

You are asking for a PAYG SIM with a data bundle.
