Ah yes- there's a potential problem with switching to a lesser known service; if anything goes wrong with its business model or finances you may not be able to port your mobile number back out to a new service and lose it for good, so it may not be worth it for you. I'm wary of that as I want to keep my number for good!

It annoys me I have lost my Italian one as I can still remember the number. I forgot to send a text within the six months to keep it assigned to me.

I feel such a "nuisance" and in the way of "a proper good chat"....

Nonsense, your posts about your mobile are not in the way of our proper good chat about underpants at all. :)

Same here, except this is all self diagnosed so we don't retest as we were advised that testing is just introducing a nut and watching for a response; the more times you meet a nut the higher risk of a worse reaction.

Are pistachios ok? I ask because DS2 can eat almonds with no problems.

Tree nuts (pistachio, pie, pecan) are the dangers, he could probably manage peanuts but they would need to be introduced at the hospital for safety reasons. The testing is too see if he has grown out of it altogether - initially he had sensitivity to milk, banana etc as well but that is all fine now.
Three: Seems shedloads cheaper than 02 but I don't get a three signal at home.

The spreadsheet in that link is hard to navigate .... and it's making my CPU go nuts. need to be able to save the file really, then delete/mark and shortlist..... but outside of O2, I've no idea if I can get signals from the others.

..... I am petrified I'll end up buying the wrong thing/tariff/mix.

Be careful with three, at one point they only let you use phones they had sold, not just any unlocked phone.

I agree that it looks decidedly odd. However, it's very popular. Most people take the view that, even if it turns out to be a Ponzi scheme, it's a good bet for £20. You'd pay more than that for a decent package for 2 months at Giff Gaff. I just wouldn't transfer your number to Ovivo, as you might not get it back if they collapse.

There is a lot of buff on the ovivo website about how your number will be protected even if they did go broke.
    I think....

PN you can sort out getting your pac code now as it lasts 28 days so then 1 less thing to do when you have the phone.

I not going to advise on pants - suffice to say I choose on comfort and practicality rather than what I might look like wearing them.

Apparently Olympic Diver Tom Daley is in a relationship and this requires an announcement on the BBC News website - which century are we living in :(

When decorators kid was here the other day we got the Christmas decorations out.

Ou r tree is usually gold with some hints of colour. In the kitchen we have some re lights and nutcrackers.

What do other nice people have for decoration? And is it what they would want if they were choosing now? What's the favorite colour / theme of nps' christmas trees?

Our tree is not themed. It is 'multi'. We have decorations going back 30 years. A real mixture some lovely delicate glass, silver or china received as gifts or bought as souvenirs, some cheap wooden ones. We have a really cheap and nasty plastic father christmas that is as old as I am and was always on our tree when I was a child.

If I was starting all over again...I would not change a thing. It is full of memories and we really enjoy decorating the tree. OH and DD always go outtogether to buy it ...a couple of years ago bringing a ceiling high tree home in my open top MG.

Do not have many other decorations really, stockings to hang up and I usually make bows out of wired ribbon to tie on wall lamps and a 'choir' of wind up Christmas novelty toys that dance and play tinny happy tunes that a former bf of dd bought for her.

While this sort of stuff is news I feel we don't have equal rights.

a] Type what numbers into it?
b] OK, I'll look at their tariffs, still go chummy's link open and still blown away with all that information/lost completely in it
c] OK, but if I do that I need that before I leave home tomorrow. Not entirely sure who I phone. I say Tmobile, but it's through Utility Warehouse.

    a) the numbers of your contacts you want on your new phone
    b) for £10 a month you can get 500 minutes + 5000 texts + 1GB data this is a SIM only tariff that requires just 1 month notice if you want to dump it. This is with Tesco mobile, so no need to unlock your phone or cut down SIM cards.
    c) you can get the PAC code from t-mobile and then have 28 days to give it to Tesco mobile. When you do, it should take 1-2 days to transfer your number to the new phone. In the meantime you could still use data on the new phone. You could also make texts and calls but the recipient would see a different number.
