I agree. I'm sure that I'd know if we'd invaded Russia. (History shows that that is an even worse idea than invading Afghanistan.)

We had some forces there shortly after the First World War, perhaps the eastern side, supporting the White Russians and opposing the Commies. Perhaps that counts?

ETA - lots of other countries sent soldiers too, for a couple of years in total, I think. MOst in Siberia? But could be wrong on that.

Just phoned them. They hadn't got me on their system, no record of me contacting them. And, it's sold.

Rightmove work on some kind of call forwarding system, you may be better off finding the direct number for the EA on the web.

Long day for me. Dropped Isaac at school, as OH left early to go to Croydon, and then went to the High Court to do 2 judicial review permission hearings.

Got home at about 3.30pm, prepped for tomorrow, and OH collected Isaac at 5.30pm from school, as they'd had a theatre trip.

Catching a train at 8pm to Wales, as I'm in court there tomorrow.

Not very MSE - going first class. It cost £1.50 more than the standard class ticket available, so I splashed out.

Or alternatively the agent probably had someone they thought would buy when they got your contact form and decided the easiest thing was just to get the seller to accept the offer they had rather than look for another buyer....
    I think....

Do you get your expenses paid, or just the brief fee?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

It was the email thingy that failed. When you click in RM for details to be sent, and you write them a little note, with your email/phone number, you'd think they'd look.

Obviously either nobody bothers, or they didn't transfer it onto their own system. So it's an EA procedure or staff fail.

    That doesn't work because:
1] I clearly did not exist on the system as a buyer to go onto their books at all
2] As sales people they should have phoned me to take my details and try to flog me some other damp hellhole no other bugg4h wanted.

The lady sitting next to me had better eat her sandwich quickly otherwise I'll be stealing it! Back en Angleterre. Was considering staying in Wheezy-land as the beers are so nice, but seeing as I can't I would like to be home now.

Have spent 2 days sitting with a load of heads of various departments etc, was funny when we were introducing ourselves. I'm head of my household, but nothing else! I bet they are wondering who on earth sent me :)

They may not have been in touch about the house you were interested in, but I wouldn't be surprised if they start ringing you about ones that meet none of your criteria. Can't say I'm a fan of estate agents...
