I'm actually a bit more gutted than I thought I'd be TBH. Oh well. I got a group hug off my daughter and her toy kitten so that's everything alright :)

    And that's what matters.

I'm sure this is only a minor setback in your rise to International stardom!

Has anyone managed to get anything good in Amazon's Black Friday sale?

I managed to get one of these of just under fifty quid.

But you're right, there's an awful lot of dross.

100% agree with Trev on this - there are more important things in life than running the world, you have a lot to be proud of, you income is not something I would ever judge you on.
    I think....

Does it come with a suitably naked man to operate it? I heard that was an integral part of the product?

One of the things in the sale was that tennis-racquet-shaped thing for killing insects, as used naked by the partners of various NP.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Kinda. "We employed xxxx instead ya loser. Ha!" (I paraphrase).

Actually they employed someone from the same department that the person that left came from. It's a like-for-like replacement.

Has anyone managed to get anything good in Amazon's Black Friday sale? I've not found this as good as last year's sale with my bargain £65 telly. However DH managed to pick up a Miele vacuum cleaner at about a third off the Amazon price (which is about 40-45% off the RRP). I've been after the same cleaner for about a year, so not a bad result. Shame we missed the half priced one at the beginning of the week though.

    It's been guff imo.
Gutted the comet's been destoyed - I was looking forward to hoping for clear skies and actually seeing something this time.

Me too. Reports this morning suggest it might be back on, but I'm not hopeful...:(
