Eye eye captain...all present and relatively correct. Both there. Different consultant, really nice.

I feel for your friend - some of mine ended up hiring a car to take them back up north from London when they saw the ECML wasn't working at all.
I had tried to feel sympathetic, but I had advised travelling Sunday to avoid post storm delays, but he didn't listen. So I was trying to be sympathetic without being smug.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. EA rang me up today to tell me there was another offer on the house. I asked if he could tell me whether it was higher or lower than ours and he said no.
I assume this means it was lower as if it was higher he would have no doubt attempted to elicit an increased bid from us.0 -

Good. About the eyes and about the consultant being really nice.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Glad to hear it, LIR....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

None of the houses had power, so everything looked unoccupied. This was reinforced by there being no children walking to school, and all of the commuters had clearly stayed home due to lack of trains. All I could hear was diesel and petrol generators, chainsaws and the alarms on houses that beep when there is no power. I saw nobody though. It was strangely post-apocalyptic.

In our particular case, we found that condoms tend to chafe. DW did not want the contraceptive pill, because of health concerns over long-term use. She was issued with a diaphragm, which she was not always assiduous about using. After child no.5 came along rather unexpectedly, she went on the pill.
I had an IUD. It was delivered 20 minutes before DD made her appearance.
Mr S was very brave and had the op for my sake as post CABG as we had to be sure I would not fall pregnant again.0 -

Oh ours needs glass. An overhaul would be good too.
How did you source this service provider?0 -

Well, there is a longer story, but the short story is we went to clearview ( our stove is a clearview) and the people second on the list agreed to come and do it. It looks much better and is working better.0
