I found someone selling an Eos at the weekend - but it was LHDThey bought for 950k, expected to spend 200k doing it up and instead spent 550k doing it up. They now have something worth £1.6m, so have saved 100k. They think it is worth £2.2m  trust me it isn't!
Is it the one in the woods on 4+1 now?I think....0 -

It's hard to describe really as there's nothing really like it in the UK. Hundreds of homes have been destroyed and one death so far. Today looks set to be a really bad one with maximum temperatures of 35C and 60mph winds. Oh and there will be dry lightning strikes too so fresh fires will be starting at random and drizzle over the course of the last 24 hours wasn't enough to dampen the fires but hampered back burning (where the firies burn away vegetation ahead of the fire to try to cool it).
The fire front is now 190 miles across so about the distance from Herts to Manchester and burning at about 1000C. It sends burning embers up to 4 miles ahead of it creating 'spot fires' just to add to the chaos.
Many of the firefighters will have been up all night back burning and will now be trying to fight this huge fire directly. They are amazing people.0 -
We've definitely moved on from Property Ladder.
"I think you need an aquarium"

EDIT: (claws out) It looks like my local Harvester (claws in)
Edit Edit: I thought the woman's face kept changing. I missed the first 10 minutes, which were key as I've just worked out there's two houses and two couples. Oh dear!
Umm surely you could have demolished and rebuilt for 400k tops?I think....0 -

Any news on the hamster? Lucky you don;t own a cat...been there and son still recalls that night and it was 20 years ago.
You OK after your knock Gen? What happened to the bike?
I can't imagine the fires at all....it's just so out of my mind zone but I would find it scary I think.
LIR; Painting......man o man I really don't like doing it either but since discovering frog tape, makes the edges a whole lot easier.
How much area do you have to do?
I think the NDG FB pic was PS too........even if the interior was real, the colur hue of the shorts had been altered as no man would ever wear aqua marine lycra shorts would they?
In other news..yes we have an Oversite now and so less muddy pawprints from the cats all over the house. There were cat paw potato like prints everywhere.0 -

Hardly any, tiny patch, just three different types of paint......two areas of woodwork (and that's not looking good, for some reason its just not covering well) and a tiny patch of wall and some radiator feet. Its all for the rad being plumbed tomorrow, I'm only painting what absolutely HAS to be done to before tomorrow.0
