We cannot really afford better this month and keep me smiling.

It has occurred to me DH made a complaint about some service and was offered a free meal in the restaurant...so might see if they have a table for Friday....

I love meeting him out, it makes it feel more date like.

    Whoohoooo,

    They do have a table.

Complimentary supper, for two......very Mse indeed. :).

Another edit.....in the interests of not causing offence I wish to make it clear my post is humour not aspersions on the prowess of any nice people or nice partners past or present. Phew. Thank goodness I deleted the rest.

My mother had a phrase "apples to orchards".

    I'm having toast.

    On Friday?

Its more the going out just with dh than the food I'm looking forward too, much better than original plan. :)

Experiencing some envy at Gen's lush housing options (I'd kill for stuff like that) whilst I'm struggling to sort out buying a 2nd hand car... :(

Meanwhile I'll engage in alternative therapies - more culture to lift the mood!
In the next 2-3 weeks I'm off to see the following:
David Baddiel in Fame (not the musical) at the RSC again
Martin Shaw in 12 Angry Men
    Portico Quartet live
    Wolverhamptons brilliant firework display
The absolutely fantastic Son of Dave
    Public Service Broadcasting
    Ludovico Einaudi

Not a bad collection. I was supposed to see Michael Winslow too, but that's sadly been cancelled. Instead, I'm going for a meal with friends.

Oh, forgot to mention as I was struggling to find anything in my collection to read, anyway I settled on Mind Bombs, as recommended by Zag. Not bad thus far.
Which reminds me, Viva I agree re Robert Harris. I really liked Fatherland.

The image looks fuzzy "there" in a different way to the general fuzziness of the photo.

I'll probably be having toast on Friday too..... won't know until it's Friday really. Might have run out of bread.
