What's wrong with your bed?
The sofa bed in our living room is a double if unfolded, and a single if left alone and the two back cushions taken off. Fine for anyone who is 5 ft 11 or shorter.
Fir is home on a Thursday because we have something special happening later today (as it happened we had something specialish happen this morning too....more anon)
Our bed we decided to clean the mattress yesterday with the upholstery steam cleaner. (After all, I spend more time than usual in bed, and with pets). We went a little crazy I with the wet button I think. We have put a heater on by the bed, fir is just going upstairs to check it now ...see if it will be dry tonight. Hope so.0 -
So, we got our date in Bath this morning. I wrapped my calves up in horses' exercise bandages to help and wore baggy jeans to go over them, and hung on to dh's arm , and just felt a lot better today anyway.
We chose a radiator, hopefully chose lights, thought the light shop warns the electrician might refuse to fit them in a bathroom, and fabric (finally) for the study blinds.
We also found out giffords circus is in bath this month so are hoping to book to go there. Its one of those things I have always wanted to do and never done. Bet its nicer on a village green, but bath will do.0 -

Hopefully, you didn't breathe any of the Bath traffic fumes.
Good for you for getting out and not letting your ailments prevent you. Do you use the bandages first, and then the horses? Is that how it works? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Oh, I am pleased to hear that you slept well. Fortunately, it hasn't been such hot, muggy weather lately.
We did, thank you. Nice early night, tucked up with our cocoa, and reading a chapter or two each of an improving book.Yep - I bet NDG was relieved not to have a hot sticky night.......much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Well, the bandages are reusable. But the horses never use them really. I have a few sets from when more serious work got done, (I'm not a fan of exercise bandages for casual work ...they bring their own problems when used improperly). So mine are mainly clean and waiting for use by me or in occasional first aid application.
The equine podiatrist has a new apprentice and I have promised to give him a bandaging workshop in autumn.0 -

The truth is, IMO there is only one way to safely learn how to get the feel to tension a bandage, And it isn't by doing it on an animal or a table leg. You have to get the feel for the tension, how snug is going to hold and how snug is going to impair circulation or cause tendons to bow.
Horses people used to things like that. We walk around each other in often skin tight clothes synonymous with raunchiness, including long leather boots, spurs and whips, we are by nature of our training very physical, used to people grabbing our thighs or bums to reposition us or indicate some minute (or not minute) change required. Or doing it to others!
I've gone quote past raunch into pony club mother sort of territory now. Its all asexual and a bit off putting tbh.0 -
I forgot to mention, but Isaac had his first extra dyslexia-overcoming lesson last Friday, and his second, third and fourth on Monday, Wednesday and Friday this week. Each is an hour long.
The man who is teaching him is really, really good, and Isaac likes him. So far, so good!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
seems like rather a lot of lessons ndg! is that sort of intensity recommended?
i went to see someone who cheered me up because she affirmed i was in the right career choice but doesn't help the current poo situation.0
