So.... I finally have an update.
Contracts were exchanged at just before 4 today.
Congratulations!
I think it's what most people would call 'perfect timing' what with HTB2 just being bought forward.
I've had a look in me Crystal Ball, and it says you place will be worth 10% more this time next year
Well done!0 -
In other news, I am finally eating my own red tomatoes!!!!
I also gave a friend chilli plants for their birthday months ago. I felt envious when I went round & there were chilli's on their plants.
They'd had a few, & gave me 2. Next day I pottered into the garden & noticed a chilli! I tink I have a couple more too.
Cucumber plants have been pulled up as they were on the way out anyway.
Now planning the great carrot harvest, and monitoring my tomatoes for regular consumption.
I'm also planning digging up my lily which hasn't flowered for 2 years & moving it into a pot & a sunnier spot for next year. I'm also planning using a load of the compost for the soil, & plan putting a load of daffodil bulbs down the bottom of the garden under a couple of trees for spring colour. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Congrats to Nikkster!:j
Does that mean me & PN are the only non-owners left?:(
edit - chewy, but he's about to buy...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
And me Lemonjelly.....We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

More than one of the NP owns more than one house but I'm not sure that an average is what matters in these things.
Unless Nikkster is looking to move or remortgage then the value of her home in a years time is pretty unimportant compared to whether she has a new sofa...
PS Nikki as well as having a sofa and bed available we are also now 'inheriting' a high quality but slightly old fashioned dining set from our new purchase - also coincidentally due to complete on the 7th.I think....0 -

Yes, well done Nikkster.
I wish we were about to buy but we're not really getting anywhere. May have to adjust our search area wider. Hopefully this stupid HTB policy will make more people put their houses on the market.0 -

In the end I went for eyes and hit the remote button with my knee. Then when interviewed later, he said how important it is for artists to sing live and not use backing tracks. I doubt there was a person watching who didn't think "for goodness sake use the backing track!"

Interesting to hear on you and yours a couple of other people complaining about new renewable sources heating companies and the lack of knowledge out there.0

Well done!
My heart sank when I saw it had been 'brought forward'. Friday had been stressful enough trying (and failing) to get things sorted. Then I read that it was open for applications to go live in Jan and I felt a bit better!
Obv it would be better not to 'lose' money on it, but I'm mostly looking forward to being able to make the place my own. Even if my own looks a lot like student furniture for the foreseeable future0 -
Congratulations:T:T:T
Are the current owners obliged to clear their family heirlooms?
Nope - I said (via solicitor and estate agent) that they were welcome to leave anything they would be disposing of (don't think they would fetch much £). Don't think there are any family heirlooms - its been a student let for possibly the last 10 years or so.
Thanks to everyone for the congratulations
I'm not planning on moving anywhere for a considerable amount of time (and I've gone for a 5 year fix anyway).0
