Sleep in each bedroom. It will give you an idea of how best to decorate them more than you'd get just 'visiting ' in them.

    Run around naked.

Have baths with the bathroom door open.

    Enjoy not living with boys.

I'm planning on sleeping in pretty much all of the rooms. Just because I can.

What I think is the natural main bedroom is next to the bathroom - in the other larger bedroom the fireplace has been blocked off and I think I would like to put one back to match the other bedrooms. After that I might make it my room, but I have no firm plans (just lots of ideas) at the moment :)

So.... I finally have an update.

Contracts were exchanged at just before 4 today.
I'm tagging a weekend seeing a friend (and going to see Bruno Mars) as I'm in the area for work this week.
    I return southwards on Sunday.
We have agreed to complete the transaction on Monday

I had a peek through the front ground floor windows on Saturday (couldn't resist), and I am the proud soon-to-be owner of a floral three-piece suite, at least one bed, a wardrobe, desk, dining table and 4 chairs; I'm guessing that most of the furniture has been left upstairs too.

I am half very excited and half equally scared sh!tless about committing the next 30 years (hopefully less) to paying back a significant sum every month. But I'm looking forward to allowing myself to start making a scrapbook (or similar) of plans for my little castle.
    :D

    Congrats Nikkster!:beer::j:T:T

I had a minor argument with my DW a while ago, that she won. Hands down!

I was putting out the recycling, and I noticed a credit card receipt for a cashmere jumper for £129 on DW's card. "That's an awful lot to spend on just one jumper," I said.

Would anyone like to guess what she said next, that made me shut up?

Oh, and congrats to Nikki. :)

DW and I have been working our way round the house although with the DKs opportunities are pretty limited so we still have half the rooms to go....

I was a bit surprised at the number of beds wondering if your starter home was a 4 bed but then guessed that as a student house it might have had a bedroom in one of the receptions?
    I think....

Its a 3 bed house (bit excessive for 1, I know) with the dining room currently made into a bedroom (door into kitchen will eventually be re-instated). I will happily give tours :)

Edit: and by sleepimg, I really do mean sleeping ;)

"I saved £200, it was on sale"
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

That was quick. You are a talented lady! :)

DW reminded me that she'd bought me a cashmere jumper for my birthday. Now, of course, I'm afraid to wear it. All my jumpers have holes in.
