We've got the bloody heating on. Normally I won't even consider turning it on until November.

Well. Make sure you take your make up off so you don 't have to arise from a warm nest, that's all I'm saying.

I know - been using mine for a few nights now (there's no point in trying to get to sleep with cold feet!).

We out the flannel sheet back on ( bliss) at the weekend and the electric blanket under the mattress protector, but I know once I turn it on that's it....its on for winter.

I'm thinking of getting some more flannel sheets, probably from Ll bean. Plain coloured ones as are easiest to get over here are a little depressing. Ours are red and what stripes, charming, and wintry. Ll bean have so e ' plaid ' ones . They also have some with pine comes on which at first glance look ok, shut I think some of the pine comes look strangly like creatures that should scuttle up and bite in the night. So so e sort of tartan or stripe it will have to be.

If my in laws will take a parcel for me or if ll bean ship to uk . I 'm sure they used to.

Not a problem. My hypotheses are quite different (current draft anyway) to what they were at the start).

Better than trying to work them out after binding :)

I have heard of people starting research on a fungus that is one colour and it's a different colour at the end.

I knew one person who was working on bacteria with a hyperfast evolution rate and I worried how he knew he was still working on the same strain as time passed.

It's perfectly normal and easy (and usually useful) for a research pathway to change direction once its started.

DD enjoyed Bestival. Our heating's on now.

as long as it's done before it's bound. that is all that matters :D

    Thanks Miss K.

You and Nikks have educated me and thereby kept me from going into mother overdrive during the last couple of months.

It is now silly o clock and I have just finished colouring in some excel tables for her, reviewing findings on a survey question and explaining that she has interpreted the results !!!!! about face, and Mr S has turned survey data into graphs.

I am presenting a Board paper before 9am tomorrow morning and have not done the prep tonight I needed to do. Last weeks work horrors are rippling out and my resilience is a bit stretched.

Now I have had a peek at the dissertation I am seriously concerned that she has gone off at a tangent and whilst the lit review is relevant her research is less so and looks light to me.

Worried that she may not have answered the exam question.:(

This is my critical parent side bubbling through....which I hate myself for..and I have kept my mouth firmly shut ...but I am worried.. what if she flunks it?

She has been flogging her guts out.. for the last few months and whilst it will not be my problem if she has done too little too late..I do not want her to be disappointed.

After the loss of our friend in the spring it would just be awful for her if this does not come off.

But the question is the council, having told them we won't have a tank.......
    Can tanks not be buried?

Ditto, SC...we are trundling gently on into the a similar situation. I could only write this here in the safety of the NP thread....but...I was hoping for just a couple of carefree years.

I mean, we started child rearing when I was just 24 and 1 is still at home .......and an 'Old' may move in next year + we haven't been able to have noisy you know what for years.
It's the only 'down thing' that OH says
    ?

Do your children never go out on the same day/ night?

Olds, too, go out till really old. Then there are day care centre and plan other events for them. We have those events all planned now!!!
