I fear these wood burners are still not mainstream, and customers are being used as test sites for untried designs. Tact is not my no. 1 attribute and I shouldn't say this, but can you get a gas one fitted as a backup?

Long term this one is meant to become the back up for gshp. Tbh, I wish we could just gshp now.

I am really increasingly cross about several things. Mainly things where I compromised over the 'vision'.

I'm currently thinking I might start keeping my eye out for cheapest gas or oil boiler and tank and have something fitted 'medium term' that requires a tank and refuelling.

This is so far from the vision, and seriously expensive and will cause some planning issues, but short term is a cheaper solution.

I am fit to scream tbh. DH is out of the loop and up to eyeballs, it seems these companies are only as honest as a dav is long. So long as the day is in January.

If any one hears of someone ripping out a boiler the size of gdb's or there abouts let me know......

Well I didn't get promoted on the basis of an inadequate answer to a question in the interview - they couldn't tell me what the question was though. So I shouted at the HR person about how ridiculous it was that it has taken 6 weeks to work out the I failed the interview. That made me feel 1% better.

Now have to wait until Monday to find out who got the jobs and whether I need to leave in a reactionary hissy fit. I will spend the rest of the afternoon sharpening up my CV.

Oh chewy, that's silly. They obviously don't realise the question was wrong not the answer.

I've been moaning about this for the last 6 years, but as I don't have a degree nobody listens :)

Mine's not that big, you know. It's a 30KW boiler which modulates up to 50KW if needed. What we ought to do is insulate the house and buy a smaller boiler.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Oh, I thought it was a 50kw boiler. I have thought of you ever since as my great darn big boiler two-times-the-temperature of everyone else's :D

We have two smaller boilers servicing different sides of the house. Could you do the same?

I thought, NP threads eons ago, that you didn't have a gas supply?
