We have two smaller boilers servicing different sides of the house. Could you do the same?

I thought, NP threads eons ago, that you didn't have a gas supply?

    No we don't.

we'd have to have a tank (hence planning issue). It could only be a temporary solution really. Same with oil, because of access to refuel/security/ various preferences about fuel.

But the other option if people don't pull fingers out is no heat another winter.

Sorry to hear about the job chewy? Are you going to dislike the person who will be promoted?

Worth staying and gritting teeth for a bit?

They didn't ask you to dance, did they?

If only they had. I rate myself in the top 0.0001% of dancers globally, especially after a couple of sharpeners.

Uninstalled CD burner software as the tech board said, installed a new one... burning disc... it's been over half an hour now, I suspect it's frozen.

    Peeing down here.

Do internet cafes let you burn CDs?

There were 10 jobs going at the level I was applying for. I don't know whether to be annoyed as I know that someone better than me also got rejected. Will need to see the full line up before I know how to react. CV may be distributed on Monday, depending upon who else was successful!

How frequently do these vacancies come around?

When is the next shot at it?

    Sorry about the news, Chewie.

I've not been to enough job interviews but then again not much comes up that appeals to me. Promotion's rather a different thing in my sector.

Work has been a really mixed bag this week, some real highs and now a real low with further depths to plunge.
My planned trip to London for tonight is definitely off as I cannot get away from work. Meeting with a NP and lovely hotel stay with OH not happening. Mr S has very sweetly said he will try to get home tonight.

Calm, measured, professional persona donned with the jacket, and breathe.

    I shall set off now.

I hope today was better than you feared and that Mr S has made/is making it home tonight.
    I think....
