I think LIR might have posted a link to the very same light?
    I thought it looked familiar
But its worth showing again. Not the light really, just the shadows. :)
    I figured that too.

It's better to post twice than not at all (for some things).

Oh, on, I'm sorry, I thought you had hunkered down and were empire building. I should have thought more carefully. :(. Please know it was not intentional to leave you out.

Please please let's arrange something you me and spirit soon? I think spirit's time table is probably the least flexible, having actual employers and stuff?

Oh, if I'd felt in a position to come I'd have mentioned it, no fear.

Absolutely no idea what this is. Never heard of it.

Whaaat??? That's honestly, probably, more than my total cosmetics spend in my entire lifetime.

Not to mention, at the moment, that's about 10 days' money.

Space nk. Its like the make up bit at boots grew up. :j And got a City income . _pale_

Things look like candy but also like medicine.

Today my skin wasn't right and I knew I had to think more about this for a while because of the roascea and as I went up the hill I started to get a rocasea breakout and I went into space nk and the manager gave me a hug sat me down and took my make up off and put some magic potion on my skin (and in my basket) and started a redo. Telling me its not as if I didn't know what to do I just had to stop using what I was used to using it to do. She also gave me a better eyebrow than I have been giving myself (I did the other one under her stern watch) and sold me that stuff too.

Magically all the stuff she used did stop the break out in its tracks.

Edit: space nk images for PN. You'd like the decor. Its all white.

Is this the time to mention that I used to be a semi-pro bellydancer ( emphasis on the word used - think younger and thinner!)

For some reason it's very busy at Bugs trucking, I think it could be everyone coming back off their holidays and catching up, maybe it will continue. Skived out of the office yesterday for a nice amble up to Barrow in a small van - I tell you, it's not real work:p.

Yesterday was the first time when I was unsure if Mr Bugs recognised me or not. He is undoubtedly getting worse in terms of the dementia and we are waiting for a CT scan appointment as there is a strong suspicion that the cancer is moving up a gear.

That is some talent. If we have a NP meet up, you could offer to be the entertainment.

Questioning whether Mr Bugs knew you or not sounds a very tough position to be in. I cannot imagine what that must be like for you and I wish there was soemthing I could do . If you think of any meaningful support I can offer - just say the word.

What I was thinking today as I drive back is for me, the lure of this thread, the wondrous group of people that you are, is that there are such polymaths here. I love that.

Btw, I learned to day I can really, really like pearls a lot! They are gorgeous. And some earrings I though were cheap glass were citrine, so not tremendously valuable but less tatty that I thought, huh?

Hope missk has had a good day (interview and fashionista wise).

Bugslet - you are one tough cookie. I really admire you. (Edit - tough but very caring)

I really admire a lot of people on this thread. The things everyone else deals with really helps keep the smaller trials and tribulations of life in perspective. But at the same time, I know I can always share whatever nonsense is bothering me, so thank you :)

Changing the subject completely, I did some high street browsing....

I was horrified (but financially relieved) not to really see anything I wanted at all. I almost bought a pair of tights, I thought I'd do some a/w shopping but...just didn't love anything. I only saw one pair of shoes I liked....and decided I probably shouldn't get them as didn't have much call for them (http://www.houseoffraser.co.uk/Carvela+Glib+court+shoes/185590853,default,pd.html also like them in black, but two pairs of shoes I cannot walk in , have no call for, are impractical is probably even more excessive than one). But other than that saw nothing. And even then I don't really have than yearn to bring the shoes home and make them mine.

Are the clothes etc out there and is it me, or is it a funny season for fashion?

I was about to attempt to sound knowledgeable. The last Spanish student we had works for a cosmetic company, the cosmeticians from outlets round the world (such as Space NK) come to her in Spain every 6 months and she shows them the new products and how to use them.

She told us the brand names (and mentioned that they were avaialble in SpaceNK amongst others) but unfortunately it didn't mean anything to me (or DW) and I have lost the paper she wrote the names on. However perhaps I could get in touch with her and ask for some 'samples'?

Edit: I think one brand was 'NATURA BISSE'

Edit: 266 quid for a tub of moisturiser - no wonder we have never heard of them!
    I think....

She didn't give Dw samples?? You should definitely get your wife some of this stuff. Its not a make I have used so I cannot recommend anything, but you have it made, the person who knows saw dw's skin and can out something really suitable in the post for her!
