Met OH at some point in the mid 80s at Artek (one of the Ukrainian childrens summer camp things, and we were both diplomatic children), and we were probably about 5-7 at the time.

First date: October 1999, in Moscow.

Second date. A few nights after .

    DD1 born 2000, DD2 born 2001

Proposed August 2004, when OH's visa was sorted (I'd been to/from Sochi, via Tbilisi for school holidays, and no less than once a month for the year before)

Will marry next year, as we've put it off for 9 years now, and we were looking into adoption of DD3/DS1, until my health problems last year. We probably will (we're looking at Georgia, and we need to be married for that anyway), when I'm a little better (although much better than I was) :)

Nor me. I watched a documentary a while ago about polygamy in Utah and Arizona - fascinating to learn about, but not something that appealed to me.

Jelly - is your heart set on a harem? It may make it more difficult for us to find people to put in your queue. ;)

It's not hard to find men who love the idea of sharing, who'll smile wistfully and say what it might mean to them and what it wouldn't damage and so on and so forth. Until one suggests the share goes the other way. That separates those who really believe the stuff they were saying from the rest!

    DH isn't a sharer.

I wonder if this is a man thing? NP men, what do you think? AIUI polygyny has been practiced in far more societies historically than polyandry.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

    well, dh isn't sharer.

There is a different though between polyamory in marriage type setting , open relationships and multiples in bed. All have different issues, and I haven't tried them all, and never will now!

It would not get through the filter.

At a team building event a couple of months ago, amongst the many challenges we had to complete, was one where two of us were picked to tell a joke that made th invigilator laugh.

I was picked and told mine. As one observer said of me afterwards ,"classy lady";)
Not sure what joke I'd tell.... I've never been a teller of jokes as a rule. I can often remember a punch line, but not the joke.

Sitting here, my mind's completely blank of any jokes.

I know people who adopted and then had their own children; two couples I know adopted because they thought they couldn't have naturally but a few years down the line it all happened and one couple who adopted and then IVF techniques improved somewhat and were able to overcome their particular issue.

I don't know anyone who has adopted after having their own.
