Almost there! Could be worse, you got out of the postdoc rat race so just finish it up for the joy of getting that thing done!
Almost there deadline-wise, anyway. Not sure about the output.
I've never been in any danger of being in a postdoc race - rodent-based or otherwise. I'm currentlyas close as I've ever been to being a postdoc (and it isn't really that close)

No need to apologise, but seemed most out of character. They must have wound you up something rotten.

No problem. Easy enough mistake to make online.
Aha! Another single female NPT. Perhaps we should introduce you to lemonjelly as well. (I am in a mischievous mood this evening. Don't take me too seriously!)
:rotfl:
Just this evening?;)lemonjelly - lydia is doing a great job of lining you up a queue
Just in case, I believe my place is already reserved :rotfl:
:rotfl:I expect lemonjelly either can't wait for his inaugural NP meet up, or is desperately trying to prepare his list of reasons why he is unable to attend!
Operation build a NP harem ibn full effect!:rotfl:It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Perhaps I should reassure him that if he comes to one that I'm at, I'll behave impeccably and make general conversation as though the ribbing on the thread hadn't happened. Wouldn't want him (or you) to think I was the kind of nuisance who would try to engineer getting him alone with you or any other possible candidate. I just think nice single people who'd like to remain nice but cease to be single could do with being given opportunities to get to know other nice single people.lostinrates wrote: »I promise to behave well at all meetings too. I use Microsoft Security Essentials. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows/security-essentials-download
It's free, so that's another one to add to your list, Viva. I prefer it to Avast/AVG, both of which I have used in the past.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

They've just randomly cancelled my anti-virus software. I can't call them because they go home at 9 so am having to buy - again - for the third time.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: Idiots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If this was the first time I'd be less upset, ditto if it didn't keep expiring at 9pm as their call centre shuts. Am now on tablet instead which has the great free AVG av on. Which is fab. Plus reminded me, twice I've had a problem before and both times found by malwarebytes.
And breathe....
Meanwhile back in the less self absorbed real world, can I please wish missk the very best of luck and hope you feel better.
My little tablet tried to change missk to Nissan so here's hoping you're firing on all cylinders (I'll get my coat).
I don't have an anti-virus on the ipad. Should I?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. :)All appears to be well.
I am to have a scan and await some results, but it seems that a procedure I had a couple of years ago could be the source of the symptom . Once scan/ results known other action can be decided on. The Consultant thought my GPs speedy actions were the right path to follow.
It wasn't things, just one symptom. Sorry if this is tmi (shy folks look away), but for the benefit of NP women aged 50+ on NPT and for NPT partners/husbands of such women I am going to answer fc's question...I mentioned some bleeding. Post menopausal bleeding is a cause for concern, so if there is any of this get pm status checked and follow it up.
OH offered to come with me but took myself to the appt as prior experience tells me if it were 'rough news' I would prefer to get my own head round things first . My beloved husband has not slept very well since Thursday night, I have slept just fine:) but was adopting a stoic mental attitude on the drive there:o. Happily no faux heroics needed.
Thank you all for wishing me well when I posted, I appreciate you listening and felt cared for.

Very tired too. 12 hour days (plus travelling time) doesn't agree with me.
Woolacombe was great - very quiet. No mobile phone signal.
Visited Croome Park in Worcs recently. Capability Browns first house. A lot of effort went into that place! Great place for a picnic though...
Good luck at the int missk! It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0
