  • Thanks Jonesy- good luck with your class tonight! While I begrudge paying £5 to stand on the scales, it seems to be the only way i make any progress, knowing I've got to face the music every week! Did try to be MSE and do it myself with the books from last time round but it didn't work and the weight gradually crept up rather than down
    Which classes are you attending?
  • Managed to pick up a 2 more Christmas pressies yesterday, so have reached the goal I set got myself of getting 3 pressies this month. Just have the in laws, my gran and sister to buy for now - feeling quite organised :)

Still no payment from my eBay buyer, sent a polite email yesterday asking if they still wished to proceed with the purchase but as yet have received no reply. If I haven't heard tomorrow I will have to raise a non paying bidder report as don't want to get stung for the final sale fees if there's no sale. Other sales are going okish, £15 of bids on items ending Sunday.

Need to pop to supermarket later for a small top up shop. Hoping to spend less than £15....

I'm going for l!ighterl!fe - its basically all my meal decisions made for me which is what i need. Its not mse at all but neither is a takeaway or having to buy new clothes to accommodate my chubbiness!

Keep going with e3ay - i need to list somethings myself over the weekend.
    :rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:

  • A friend did lighter life and lost a lot of weight on it. Good luck!!!

Spent a little more than I'd have liked at mr T - more a case of underestimating what my list would cost rather than going mad tho.

Buyer still not paid so have filed a NPB report to reclaim my fees.

Nearly up to £30 on other sales, so pleased with that. Must start getting everything packaged up.

Looking forward to a nice lazy weekend......
  • Been a pretty non eventful weekend. Spent yesterday afternoon doing some jobs at the yard, now the clocks have gone back and the ponies are in, there's very little daylight hours left after work to get things done.

Some eBay items ended last night totalling £45ish after fees etc and got another couple ending tonight which are at the minute sitting at £13, so not a bad amount at all for clearing out some clutter! Am hoping to chuck this at the credit card but need to double check the budget for the rest of the month first and make sure I'm not leaving myself short and therefore with the temptation for the o/d to creep up again.

Need to chase Tesco up tomorrow about my club card vouchers. They had to refund £15 worth of boost points to my account but so far they are not showing in either my vouchers or points. Was naffed off enough at being told I wouldn't be able to use them til Feb - don't want to risk losing them all together

Swagged another £5 amazon GC yesterday and have made target everyday so far this month so fingers crossed things are picking up there - would like to cash another £10 before the end of the month to put towards some Xmas pressies.

Soups currently bubbling away in the slow cooker for lunches for this week. Trying to limit myself to £10 a week personal spends so really must take lunch in - otherwise the tenner will be gone in 3 days!

Well done on trying to address the debt. When friends are in this situation, I always recommend that they meet a rich bloke! lol

I am going to try to figure out the swagbusters... so if you have any tips they will be greatly received

    thanks

  • Hi sunshinemummy! With swagbucks it really is a case of plugging away at it. The surveys are the quickest way to reach target if you qualify for them.

Yesterday's weigh in was a 2lb loss taking the total weight loss so far to 13lb in 6 weeks - target is to get to the stone for next week. Must be good!!!!!

Mse wise have listed some more items on eBay - having a mad Declutter! No bids as yet but we'll see how it goes.

Having an on going battle with OH at the mo regarding the heating, he keeps sneaking the thermostat up and I keep turning it down! Who needs heating when you have a fleecy onesie, fluffy dressing gown and slippers - maybe I should treat the OH for Christmas :rotfl:

No more payments to credit card as yet. Have been rounding down the balances of my accounts and will pay this off the card at the end of the month - currently have just less than a fiver. Hoping to make approx £250 of payments before the month is out.

Right I'm off to bed now - another early start in the morning. Night night!
  • £102.68 paid to the credit card this morning, so just another £147.32 to find to reach my target payment for the month of £450. Hoping to do this mainly through eBay sales, rounding account totals down and then making the remainder up from the main account.

Got a few bids on the eBay items. Still no response from the NPB and not heard from eBay - not sure how long I have to leave it before fees get refunded and I'm safe to relist the item.

OH been food shopping - need to ban him from the Supermarkets! £32 spent but no milk, fruit and bits for pack up so still need to back tomorrow and finish it off!!!!
  • Had a couple of items end on eBay last night netting £17 - will send that straight to the credit card. Took advantage of the free listing weekend and relisted the non sellers and a few more items including the one from the NPB. Got a few items ending tomorrow which have bids on too, so fingers crossed.

Quite a low spend weekend. £12 spent in home bargains on bits I needed that would have cost a lot more in the supermarket and that was pretty much it.

Put the slow cooker to good use again and now have soup to take for lunches this week and lots of bol based slimming world friendly ready meals.

Just a few swag$ short of getting another £5 agc so hopefully will do that tonight....
  • £21.59 paid off cc yesterday from eBay sales and rounding down accounts. Had another couple of items finish tonight which should clear £40 after fees. Will pay this off the cc once postage has been paid.

Yesterday's weigh in was no change, so still got 1lb to lose to get to the stone- at least it wasn't a gain

Managed to get the last few swag$ to claim another £5 amazon voucher. Would like to get another one before the months out to reach my target of £15.

Tomorrow should be a no spend day other than posting the eBay items. Must continue with the de cluttering and get this debt paid ASAP. At the moment debt fee date is May 2014 - would like to bring this forward by at leas a month. Must plough on ......
