  • eBay sales were better than expected -made £44 on 4 items. This will be withdrawn into the od account and will hopefully mean than it is once again paid off! Must keep it that way now!

Stocked up on birthday cards using a funky pigeon offer - 8 cards for under a tenner - worked out at £1.20 ish each, so a lot cheaper than my usual emergency trip to the supermarket at the last minute!

£135 has been paid into my new car fund and £30 into my present fund (£356 in 365 challenge). Was going to save the £365 for Christmas but realistically may need to dip into it for birthdays etc throughout the year - we'll see how it goes.

Need to pop into town later to post the eBay stuff, pick up a pressie for my friend's daughter's birthday, pay OH Christmas money into bank and a couple of bits that are on offer at sainsbobs.

Back to SW this week so will se what damage has been done there - not looking forward to it

    Have a good day x
  • Quick update....
3 of the 4 eBay items have been paid for and posted - typically still waiting on payment for the most expensive one! The items that didn't sell have all been relisted and have a few watchers so fingers crossed.

Whilst in sainsbobs managed to pick up a load of their reduced Christmas bits - wrapping paper at 25p a roll and gift bags for 10p/ 30p. The wrapping paper is plain silver hologram so will do for birthdays throughout the year aswell.

SW first weigh in of the year put on 2.5lb which takes me back to 1lb short of my stone loss :( can't complain as it could have been a hell of a lot worse as really haven't been watching what I are since I finished work on 19th December. Must get back on track. Would love to have lost a stone by the end of February as I am meeting uni friends I haven't seen in 2/3yrs and I'm determined not to be the fatty lol! 7 weeks / 2lb a week - a challenge but could be do able if I behave and exercise!

Had a voucher through the post to say I'd won a bag of horse feed in a competition :D will save me approx £12 so happy with that.

Managed to swag a £5 amazon card, which appeared in my account within hours. Would like another 2 before January's through.

Hoping for a NSD today - fingers crossed......

Yay to winning horse feed. :)

Well done on being so organised for Christmas - I used amazon vouchers last too and my nectar adpoints on the sainsburys card - do you do that too?
  • I've actually won something useful for a change lol!

I used to do the adpoints LAM but got bored  will have to get back on track with them as it can add up pretty quickly.

My last eBay buyer finally paid so money transferred into the od account - the overdraft is once again clear :j

Diet is going pants - I've managed to finish off all the Xmas goodies, so hopefully temptation is removed. Must make amends over the weekend!

Had to have the vet out to one of the ponies for blood tests, not going to be cheap but so worth it for the peace of mind and getting the wee chap on the mend. Hopefully my newly formed emergency fund will cover the cost. Should hopefully get the results today fingers crossed.

Got to do a small Aldi shop at lunch time for pack up bits for next week other than that no spending planned.

    Happy Friday x
  • Nothing much to report today. Made a small over payment to the cc to round the balance down to £2500. Also got a refund of £12 - will pay for sw for the next 2 weeks left before payday.
  • A couple of items sold on eBay last night should be around £7 after fees. Isn't much but these £7 will add up.

Had vets bill through on Sat, about £40 less than I was budgeting for which is good but will need a repeat visit and bloods in about 4-6 weeks time to make sure the meds are getting everything under control so I'd imagine it'll be about the same again.
  • We'll not been too bad a week so far money wise. Found a fiver in my wallet that I didn't realise I had so that was a bonus and another £5 amazon card swagged. All the accounts looks on track - hopefully sustainable until payday in 10 days time.

SW weigh in this week was a 2.5lb loss which takes the total back to 1st 1.5lb.

Another 2 £2 coins popped in my tin - got given them in my change for posting the eBay stuff - could have done with the change, however can't bring myself to spend them so adding them to the collection.

Plan for the remainder of the week:
    1. Get meal plan sorted
    2. Hopefully swag another £5 GC
    3. Do some exercise
  • So not much progress made debt wise, but other than that it's not been too bad a week financially.

Received a letter from the tax office to say my tax code was changing. My allowance was reduced last year following a balls up when I was working two jobs and not enough tax was paid. All paid back come April and all being well we should be nearly £100 a month better off :D

Also received my sun perks £10 amazon voucher and a £5 voucher from Joules as way of an apology for messing me around. Both have already been spent on pressies for the coming year- thought it was the safest option rather than running the temptation of spending them on me and more stuff I don't need!

Need a low spend weekend as it's the countdown to payday again. Need to pop into town to collect a boots sale order (more pressies lol!) and that's pretty much it.

    Have a good one x
  • Payday on Friday - at last!!!!

Not much to report as desperately trying not to spend anything.

Almost £8 has become payable in my topcashback account, will round that up to £10 and send to the credit card.

Weigh in this week was a 1 lb gain  kind of expected but still no excuse. Must give myself a kick up the bum and get exercising, even if all I want to do is sit at home in my fluffy slippers and pjs!

    Jobs for today:

    1. Cancel sun perks trial before they take the payment
    2. Pay insurance for yr
    3. Get insurance quotes for OH car - due mid Feb
    4. Sort stuff for eBay free listing at weekend
  • Managed to cancel sun perks - they offered me another £10 voucher to stick with it but it costs around £8 a month, so one pretty much cancelled the other out.

Another £2 put in tin, bringing total to £12.

Cashed the £8 cashback and have rounded it up to £10 and paid it off the credit card. Have another £46 sat in confirmed, as soon as that's payable it'll be sent straight to the cc.

Swag target reached for the day - hoping for another £5 GC before the weeks out.

Still need to sort insurance out and eBay stuff.

Need to keep focused and chip away at it - slowly but surely.......
