Hi ScattySkewland. Have subscribed to your thread. As another horsey person, I think we understand best how those emergency costs crop up. Lost shoes, ripped rugs, broken anything! Do you keep yours at home?
I'm impressed by the volume of things you sell on eBay, are they horsey items normally? I have found that a local FB group can be very useful. No fees for a start.
Good luck, you are doing amazingly well. I will try to keep up.0% card was £1126.91 / Now £1502.37

Hi mfmaybe :hello:
Always good to see another horsey person on here! I rent a field and couple of stables from a farmer in the next village. Very basic and as DIY as it comes but it's sooooo much cheaper than the livery yards around here, and since they're pretty much retired now there's little point in forking out for fancy facilities. Most importantly the boys are very happy there.
eBay stuff is a combination of horsey bits and general clothes and clutter from round the house. Nothing of great value but it all adds up!
Pay day tomorrow :j we've almost survived January lol!
Need to pay vet bill (unfortunately no longer covered by his insurance due to it relating to an ongoing condition  ) and still need to pay insurance for year for house and OH car. Expensive month but have some put aside and the rest is budgeted for so hopefully all is in hand.
Right better get out and walk the woofs- we're all getting too comfy!0 -
Payday today :j:j:j
Time for another monthly update .......
Overdraft was £114 now £0
Credit card was £2725.38 now £2490
Total paid off = £349.38
Not too bad for January but could be better
Weight loss lets not even go there! I've yo-yoed since Christmas, but I guess the good news is I'm still 1st 1.5lb lighter than I was when I started.
Swagbucks - swagged £10agc and eBay sales just short of £50 before fees
Food shopping is still proving a nightmare - not helped at all by OH working within a stones throw of a supermarket
Goals for February:
1. Pay off £400
2. Keep food shopping below £220
3. Exercise exercise exercise
4. Lose 6lb before end of Feb
5. Swag £15
6. eBay at least £300 -
What a wet cold miserable weekend
On the plus side, apart from walking the dogs and sorting the ponies, not felt inspired to leave the house, so a nice low spend weekend.
Had an email to say a freebie £5 had been deposited in a dormant bingo account - played it through and won £15 :j , so I've withdrawn this to my bank account. Also managed to swag another £5 agc.
Need to do a spot of food shopping at some point over the next couple of days. Vets bill has been paid and house insurance sorted.
Free listing on eBay so will make use of that later.0 -
Arrrgh! They say things come in threes - too true
£250 bill on the way for the boiler, OH car needs two new tyres and there's a leak in the bathroom. Grrrr! I guess the one positive is that fingers crossed we shouldn't need to add to the debt, but it will wipe out everything I've got put aside
Have spent far too much on the food shop, but at least the freezers nicely stocked - should only need fresh stuff from Al*i.
Off to juggle the accounts and make sure I've got everything covered.0 -
Haha it never rains but it pours!!!! Oh car needs a couple of £100 work doing this week - broke down on the way to work  still hoping will have enough without adding to the debt but it will mean that little more than the minimum payment will get paid off the card this month.
Jobs for today - walk woofs, sort ponies, meal plan, soup for lunches and exercise0 -
Good morning
Not a lot to report (again!) as I'm sitting tight waiting for all the bills to come rolling in for house and car repairs before I start chucking too much money at the card. Did make a £20 payment yesterday tho as was paid back £20 by a friend and figured I'd already written the money off so may as well put it to good use. Car goes in today so should hopefully should have a clearer picture tonight as to what will be available for paying the cc.
Swagged a £5 amazon GC yesterday - have a couple of birthdays next month so will put it towards those.
Weigh in this week has been a 1.5lb loss :j 5lb more to go to reach my initial target, although ideally would like to lose half a stone on top of that. Managed to get to the gym 3 times last week which has obviously helped as I've eaten rubbish! Must dust the running shoes off soon - been far too long!
Have a good day :beer:0 -
Financially it's seeming like such a long month- half way to pay day and still haven't managed to achieve much in terms of paying the card off as still unsure as to how much the house repairs are going to cost
Car wasn't as bad as expected, however it now looks as tho one will need replacing sooner rather than later. This is about 9 months earlier than I'd hoped for, but in the long run it will prove more economical. Have played with the spreadsheets and put some sort of plan in place!
Need to have a look at TCB and try and sort OH car insurance as it's due for renewal at the end of the month.
SW tonight - need to get back on track with this as my hearts really not in it at the minute. I'm not gaining as such just kind of yoyoing, will loose a lb or 2 one week, put on the next. Still I guess I'm still 1 stone 2lb lighter than I was, just not quite where I want to be yet
Right off to wade thru mud with the woofs and ponies - have a good day!0 -
I think any weight loss is to be applauded :T and the fact it's not going up is better than if it was. Don't beat yourself up, heaven knows life is hard enough!
Ugh to the mud, I'm sick fed up of it. If only this rain actually guaranteed a good summer.0% card was £1126.91 / Now £1502.37
