  • Haven't got anything exciting to report - it's that awkward time of the month in the run up to pay day where all direct debits have come out and there's little left for overpayments etc.

Weekly weigh in was 1.5 lb loss which I'm well happy with as didn't have the best of weeks food wise.

Expenses have landed in account so have paid £20 off credit card and have held onto the other £15 for now just in case.

Got a few bits that I need to get on eBay - kicking myself that I missed the free listing at the weekend but never mind.

In for a very wet day if metcheck is to be believed so need to spring into action and get the woofs walked and ponies sorted before the rain arrives.....
  • Nothing much to report, still counting the days til payday - 5 to go!
Have sat and listed 10 items on eBay tonight, fingers crossed they make me some pennies.
Need to sort out my meal plan for the week in an attempt to keep away from the supermarket until at least Friday. Soup has been made to take to work for lunches.
Have managed to swag another £5 amazon gift card for the Christmas fund - feeling quite organised about Christmas for once :T
  • Really really need to get grocery spend under control. There's only the two of us and although I budget £200 a month, I suspect we spend nearly £300. Half the problem is I'm a sucker for special offers and end up bulk buying, which is great but realistically how many tins of beans do I need to see me through the month lol! I also religiously make use of the £5 off aldi voucher in the mirror, but in reality never need the whole £40's worth of food in the first place so it's false economy. This month I'm going to experiment with weekly shops rather than a big monthly aldi and asda/morrisons shop and then weekly top ups. We'll see how it goes........
  • Pay day tomorrow!!!! Once again it can't come soon enough!

Weekly weigh was another 2lb off - well pleased with that.

A couple of my eBay items currently have bids on, they finish at the weekend so will generate more pennies to chuck at the credit card.

Need to sit down tonight and meal plan for next week so that I can pick anything I need up from Aldi tomorrow. Must only buy what I need.......
  • So payday tomorrow, thought I'd post a quick figures update....

    Overdraft was £192.24 (26/9) now £0 :j

    Credit card was £3550.65 (26/9) now £3176.69

Total paid off in October = £566.20 :T

    Weight loss for October = 10.5lb :j

All in all quite a positive month :)

    Aims for November:
    1. Keep overdraft account in the black
    2. Pay at least £450 off credit card
    3. Keep food spend under £200
    4. Lose another 4lb to get total weight loss to 1 stone
    5. Make at least £15 amazon GC via swagbucks
    6. Purchase another 3 Christmas pressies

    Let's see how it goes.......
  • It's the weekend at last!!!!! This week has been a long one and by yesterday I was absolutely shattered, so planned a nice early night to catch up on some zzzzzz but stumbled across educating Yorkshire instead. The dedication of the staff there is amazing, so inspirational. I was blubbing over the poor lad with the stammer esp at the end, what an achievement for him. Needless to say wasn't quite as earlier night as I'd hoped but do feel slightly refreshed knowing there's no work today!
    Anyways back to mse.......
Did a small meal plan based shop yesterday totalling £21.16, may need to pop out over the weekend and get a few bits for OH as we have completely different diets, but am hoping he's got enough to last through this week.
    Food balance currently £178.84
Made a payment of £200 to the cc. Will be topping this up throughout the month, hopefully to the tune of £450.
I've received an email through this morning to say that my water bill is ready but I've tried accessing the website and it's down grrrrrrr! No doubt it's bad news, everything seems to be going up!
I'm out tonight for a friends birthday which won't do the diet or the pennies much good. She's a great friend though and we really don't see each other as often as we should do so I'm really looking forward to it. Will just have to be extra good on both fronts to make up for it!!!
  • Finally managed to logged into the water account and we're a whole £5.35 in credit :j no increase in monthly direct debit!

3 items sold on eBay last night for a total of £17.50. Pleased with that, just waiting for the payments to come through.

Night out on Saturday was lovely, but with bus fare, paying for my meal and drinks after I came home £40 lighter  will juggle my budget around later to accommodate. As for what damage it's done on the diet front we'll have to weight until tomorrow to find out.

Can hear the rain pounding on the window - really need to get out and walk this woofs and get off to work :(
  • Damage done to diet by Saturdays antics wasn't as bad as expected - managed to lose 0.5lb giving 11lb loss in total :)

Money wise, OH spent £33 on a food shop on Monday - hopefully there's a meal or two in there somewhere........

Relisted the items that didn't sell on eBay at the weekend plus a couple of extras. Still waiting for payment for 2 of the 3 I sold at the weekend. Will send them another gentle reminder today.

Hoping for a nice quiet NSD today
  • We'll not quite a NSD, but got another Xmas pressie crossed off the list so wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Used some of my Tesco vouchers to buy a friend some perfume, just had to put a fiver to it so really pleased with that as usually spend £15-20 on her and it's her favourite :)

One of my ebayers has paid up, typical tho that the biggest sale is yet to be paid for - will pop to post office and get it sent off. Tomorrow's a free listing day so will try and get a few things listed.

Seem to be struggling with swagbucks at the mo - not qualifying for many surveys at the minute so keep on missing out on the daily target :( will keep plodding on with it tho as would like to make at least £15 in Amazon vouchers by the end of the month to put towards more Christmas pressies.
