  • Nothing terribly exciting to report. It's that post pay day lull where I've made the payments budgeted and am now trying to curb the spending so I can pay more off later in the month.

Couple of bids on the eBay items - they finish at the weekend so fingers crossed. Am still waiting for payment for one of the items from last weekend. Sent another reminder yesterday but I'm not holding out much hope as I've checked her feedback and it seems she has a habit of not paying grrrrrr . Why eBay removed the option to leave negative feedback for buyers I don't know.

60p to be chucked in my 20p collection. It's looking quite healthy now - may have to count it up later. Have been saving 20ps, 5ps and coppers since the beginning of the year to put towards Xmas - hopefully should be enough for a couple of pressies.

Had an unexpected cashback payout today of £8.40 for a transaction that hadn't tracked and I'd had put a claim in for it. I'd forgotten all about it as it was ages ago so was a nice suprise. Have withdrawn it into my o/d account.

Have also counted up my change pot - have just over £45 in there at the moment, not a massive amount but will definetly come in handy or Christmas shopping!
  • Yay it's Friday at last!

All in all not been a bad day mse wise.

Firstly, I've had another small bid on one of my eBay items and my non paying bidder has now paid (albeit via e cheques so will take a week to clear but never mind!)
Secondly my OH has now finished paying back his student loan which means an extra £100 in his take home pay.
I've also had a transaction track in my TCB for £25 from May. I'd completely forgotten about it so its a bonus!

If all goes according to plan debt should be gone by the end of January 2014. I'd love to clear it by the end of the year and this is what I'll be pushing for. I've worked out I need an extra £280 to pay it off by the end of Dec - need to get ebaying!
  • 2 weeks til pay day!!!!

Nothing earth moving to report in terms of my debt busting. Another 4 items have sold on eBay so that's around £13 to pay off the overdraft. Have checked this morning and overdraft is currently at -£45.83 plus around £8 of pending charges. Nearly there - for the first time since finishing uni 10 yrs ago this account may actually be in the black for longer than a few days at a time!

Have relisted the items that didn't sell plus a few horsey bits that are surplus to requirements so will wait and see how they go.

£12 spent in Aldi yesterday on fresh fruit, veg and pack up bits and have spent the weekend putting the slow cooker to good use. I have a freezer full of bolognese, curry, chilli and lasagne - should keep me going for a little while, just a shame the OH won't eat it!

OH car going in for work today :( we knew it was coming so have been able to budget for it, just keeping everything crossed it comes in under budget.

Had renewal through for the woofs insurance - will have a look on TCB later to see if there are any good offers on. I love that website!

    Have a good day :)
  • Oh forgot to say Saturdays weigh in was a 1lb gain  can't really complain as I've been lazy this week, skipped my classes and generally eaten rubbish, so really could have been a lot worse. Must get back on track this week......
  • All my ebayers from Sunday have paid up straight away and parcels been sent - seems like its becoming a regular Monday routine!

Have had a bid of £10 on one of my horsey items I listed on Sunday so really pleased with that, again will be chucking this straight at the overdraft. I'm determined to get it paid off before the end of the month.

Swagged another £5 amazon card yesterday so that'll go in the Christmas pot once it comes through.

Got to pick OH car up later fingers crossed........ I hate cars :(

I've also had confirmation that my expenses should be landing in my account tomorrow. This will be going straight onto the c/c - need to be disciplined and not spend any of it!
  • Cars not ready yet so still not sure how much it's going to cost :( - hopefully I've budgeted enough. On the plus side though think of the petrol that'll be saved :D

Expenses have been paid in and are going straight back out onto the credit card before I have chance to spend. Must be disciplined!
  • So car came in £5 under what I'd budgeted :) not a massive amount but at least I won't be juggling the budget to find the rest.

Paid £600 off the credit card :D My expenses have gone a long way towards this so won't be able to do this every month but it felt good to knock a decent chunk off it.

Now the not so good bits.....
I may have purchased a new rug for one of the ponies. In my defence I got it for a bargain on eBay and it is new. They're usually £34.99 but I got it for £14.99 and his old one has seen better days. Usually I'd be well chuffed but I feel quite guilty about it lol! Must find more stuff to eBay to make amends!
  • Found you :)

Don't feel guilty about the rug, it's better to have bought one in advance and have it ready for when the old one finally disintegrates than to have to rush out and buy a new one when it falls to pieces in a cold snap!
  • Hi Caz!
My sentiments exactly about the rug :) Although think u need to be horsey to understand - my OH can't get his head round how a horse could possibly need so many rugs lol! Confession - I'm a bit of a rugaholic, although I never pay full price for them (can't believe how much they've gone up in the 11 yrs I've had my boys:eek:). The boys have got a far better wardrobe than me lol!

Kicking myself as I left work with the good intention of taking advantage of the eBay free listing but it didn't quite go to plan. Was late home from work and yard and then the lazy cba mood kicked in. Must do better!

E cheque for the eBay items finally cleared so another £7 chucked to the overdraft. Updated my spreadsheet, most my dd have come out now, so have paid another £100 off credit card. Pay day in just over a week - it's gonna be a bit tight but I'd rather watch the pennies for a week than see the £100 get frittered away.

Gonna be a bit of a spendy day today as need horse and dog food (and maybe a few supplies for us humans too :rotfl:).

Off to find your diary now Caz.

Happy Friday - let the weekend countdown commence
