how does having 30 grand and spending thirty grand put hin in debt?

and how do you spend 30 grand on a holiday?
    1. I imagine that once you are accustomed to spending heavily, you won't simply stop because your cash-flow is nil? Ask someone on DFW for clarification.

    2. When you are brassic you can afford cheap hookers on holiday, when you are flush, you can afford the expensive (The only difference is the expensive ones wash in between clients)ones.
Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.

You should do what feels best. By the time I buy my house the prices will be even higher unless a crash happens but it's important to me to own my own home.If its making you this unhappy you've made the right choice

Good luck to the suckers who intend to continue to work their assess off to afford a leasehold cupboard! Ha ha, skit! and no sympathy whatsoever from me IF there's a house market crash (I personally don't think there will be, but I'll be laughing the loudest if there is)!!

Gee, how proud your mother must be!

Honestly Scouser? She was proud of me before she died, and she'd be proud of me now, being happy was all she ever wanted for my sister and I, and I've learnt these past few months, money doesn't buy you happiness alone (the 30K in my bank hasn't). It's what you do with it! I know myself well enough to know that owning property at all costs isn't what will make me happy, but a holiday of a lifetime will! ... so yeah, I can honestly say, my mother, if she was still alive, would be supporting me 110%

If you're happy renting, then that's great! hope you have a fabulous holiday!! :-)

I hated renting. Other people's furniture, not being allowed to put things on the wall without asking permission, the cost of accidental damage to furniture/flooring (where I wouldn't have minded a few dents/scratches if it was mine and i did it), then a rent that was more than the interest on a £200k loan!! It just didn't feel like home.

I can't describe how wonderful it feels to finally own my own place. I feel like the little bit of the jigsaw missing has finally been filled.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
