Yeah thats it. Brilliant... hope the puddy-tats are okay soon! Happy that you acquired a few more. If I lived on my own I'd take 'em all in... like a mad cat lady on the Simpsons...MEOOOOOW!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. The woman at the rescue place was telling me she has 18 cats - 10 of her own and 8 foster cats. I have nowhere near that amount of room or money that's for sure. My daughter says that when she's older she's only going to have cats. No people living with her, lol.
I hope our fella finds his way home soon.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -
Hi wannabee, I really hope to your cat reappears soon. Nowadays our doesn't go out that much anymore but we used to worry loads when she was gone for two or three days during the summer and then just wander back in as if nothing has happened.
Just remember a comment my other half made over the holiday and which is part of the reason our food budget is over. I suggested early in our holiday on making pork chops for tea going by what we had in the house rather than buying more as usual. He had the cheek to say can we have sth tasty because we're on holiday. My food it's that bland... That plus hormones not a good combo. So we went out and bought more ingredients and he cooked dinner the next two nights. Fair enough I could maybe experiment more but it's not easy trying to budget and have to cook everyday. So tonight I'm using ingredients we have but googled a new dish.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Thrifty, pork chops can be a bit boring in your Oh's defence. Whenever I buy them, they end up hidden in the back of the freezer. There's a SW recipe where you cook them in cola that's supposed to be nice. I usually end up slicing and throwing into a curry or chinese sauce.0

Yes I've sliced them before too and made gyros or similar.
I usually season them with salt, pepper, paprika and bread them and have them with pepper sauce, veg and tatties. Ok not as tasty as a lamb tangine but not that much more interesting than the meatballs he made. Just the way he said it sort of disregarded the effort I make every single night to put food on the table. Sorry rant over. Tonight's it's gonna be rasta pasta and tomato salad. He better like it.

Thanks for the link wannabee seems much healthier and better than the usual cooking oil's and I'm tempted to get some for myself, where did I put the oven instructions?? lol
Well sad to say no NSD for me for a while now but tomorrow should be.
The van sale was a bust, sadly Loan 1 still lingers.
Having many things going on at the same time is not good for your health but should be rained back in after this coming weekend.
Glad to say wannabe I looked seriously into that link and purchased a couple of bottles of that coconut oil plus other goodies to kick start a healthier lifestyle.

Had a bit of a lazy day today - kids happy to play out. I waited for carpet man 1 this morning who came and measured for stair carpet - price was a good bit higher than expected although I really didn't know what to expect! The carpet man 2 was supposed to come this afternoon but didn't show - so not impressed! Might just have to go with the first guy but will have to change my spread sheets! only budgeted for £250 for carpet and fitting and quote was £550!!!
Appart6 from that only spent £5 on sweets and snacks for the kids - DS is having a sleep over - still not a NSD but low!0 -

Bought some walking pants, walking sandals (for my hols) and an anorak and a waterproof (for winter) in a sale yesterday,a total of £75
Wow His Missus - that's sounds like extremely good value! Do you mind if I ask where you got them all from?
Many thanks, NicNocs0 -
Yay another SFD for me, I seem to be on a roll!
My food inventory and meal planning has paid off - stuck to my guns today and made everything from my plan. I didn't have quite enough gooseberry compoe to finish my crumble for dessert so improvised and added banana and used SR flour as didn't have any plain, tasted pretty delish. Also made my breakfast smoothie and pasta lunch for tomorrow well ahead of schedule, very unlike me.
Now I've just got to keep it up?! 7/200
