JT put us all to shame. A true inspiration not only as a runner but in life generally. Makes me remember ife is short and should be lived to the full everyday
When was the last time I reviewed my goals?
How was your run mindspace?“The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it.” Eckhart Tolle0 -
Have to agree with all the comments re JT. Also, as I have a friend with terminal cancer I am amazed how such tragic diagnosis brings out the fortitude and positiveness out - my friend will not give up without a fight, just the same as Jane Tomlinson.
I did a 5 miler on Friday and now I am just drinking a pint of water and getting my porridge before I leave for a 10km race for life at half nine. Not as panicked about doing a 10km now, more panicked about doing a 20km instead    :eek:0 -
All the best ba. Looking forward to your report.“The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it.” Eckhart Tolle0

Good going!
Try not to improve to quickly though. It is the consistant work that you do over time that is important.;)“The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it.” Eckhart Tolle0 -
Hi one and all how are you good to hear it's going well. I think some things wake us up to our abilities and possibilities and jane tomlinson certainly did that. Off skiboarding in a sec, not going to count as exercise as probably will be sitting down more often than moving forward!! will compensate by a run this avo. Watch this space!! Keep on running guys xxdebt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0

Well I'm sat on my lovely comfy settee with a home made chocolate cup cake and a nice ice cold glass of water.
Race was really good, did it in just under 56 minutes but it was really, really, really hilly, I now know what the word undulating means  Everytime we went down a hill we were back up another, but we did persevere. I became the moaner at my friend telling her if she walked I would leave her and drive home without her and not buy her a vodka in the pub......it worked....:rotfl:
It's also quite an emotional day seeing all those people running who have in some way been affected by cancer and how many people they have lost, so all in all a very humbling and rewarding day.
We only had one minor indiscretion which is when we decided to share a portaloo to be quick, as I was pulling up my panties and my friend was pulling hers down to swap over it would appear the door wasn't shut and a rather alarmed man was greeted by two women in a state of (humiliating) undress :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: We remained in the said portaloo for a considerable amount of time to avoid further humiliation and emerged with our hats and knickers firmly on :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

Amazingly I don't, probably hit me tomorrow. I think we ache more from laughing, at the time of the incident and telling it again over tea tonight to our DHs'. Our DD's are most embarrassed about us and asked if anyone from their school saw :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
We laughed and screamed that much in the portaloo it was shaking and then we had visions of it falling over, us being trapped in there and covered in wee..................fortunately it didn't fall over  I do pity the poor man, I can't imagine my backside was the most exciting view of the day. But then I feel my friend was slightly worse off then me as he saw her front side :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
