Well, I have shuffled to work this morning after doing a mammouth 9 miles last night, which I am pretty sure is the most I have ever done. It took us just under 90 mins and we did do some walking as we were quite literally knackered. I am now walking as if I have a coin between by bottom cheeks as my little (or biggish) bot is killing me :rotfl:
But, we feel a lot more confident about the North Run now, going to try for 10 miles next weekend and we have a 10k Race for Life in Manchester on Sunday as well.
23 days and counting
Who put an entry in for the marathon BTW?0 -

Well i put in an application plus hundreds of charity applications too just in case, If we both get in we should arrange for the same starting area so we can catch up.

Hi SW
It's hard getting back into all after the hols isn't it? I was surprised how tired I was running last night but hopefully in a week I'll be back on track!
How are things with you? Did you have a good hol?0 -
9 miles, wow well done BA! :T
Not applied for the marathon, I really can't see me running that far ever. Want to try and do a 10k in a few months then maybe get up to a half marathon next Spring/ SummerDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Yes P I will be doing it - one way or another.
Just got in from a six mile run. On the slow road back from a very nasty bout of flu. It was really sunny and I have come back feeling positive.“The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it.” Eckhart Tolle0 -
Twas sad to hear about Jane Tomlinson yesterday she was one person who when I didn't feel like going out running, I would think of her and tell myself to stop complaining.
I going to start properly again on Saturday, dh is back home tomorrow evening and then in the morning I can have a little airing.
So now going to aim for Reading 1/2 marathon in March, dh is still going to do Swindon but me and my brother will be cheering from the sidelines with a nice  !0 -
Yep i agree re jane tomlinson, lovely lady and very inspiring, she seemed like it woul dnever beat her. Was sad to hear it had.
