Had to run a bit faser today as it was really cold along the river(s), was really feeling it on the way back from Westminister as the wind was blowing in my face, leg was a bit like jelly on return to the office. Will try and aim for same time on Thursday or slightly quicker.

My calves ache after yesterday's efforts.....And I am tired and could quite fancy just going to bed!

But DS has a karate class at 8.30 so when he is there I might as well go and run - I reckon 4 miles easy will be quite enough to hopefully clear my tired stuffy head and ease my achy muscles!

I have my run kit on ready........**trying to give the impression of someone with enthusiasm :o **

    Will report back afterwards!

Enjoy your chilly runs, I can't get out until Friday as dh away on a course. I was thinking about going for long walks with ds but he has a bit of a cold so don't want to make it worse.

Chick/Rich, when you do your intervals these are times per mile yes? how long do you run/rest before you start the next 1 mile interval??

Back from my run.......it was bloomin cold - there is still snow on the verges.

I did 4.07 miles in 41:19 which is over 2:40 quicker than 2 weeks ago :j

I have worked out how to do mile splits on my garmin so my stats were as follows (I wasn't trying to do anything other than just "go for a run" so it was interesting to see.........):

    Mile 1 10:33
    Mile 2 10:19
    Mile 3 10:11
    Mile 4 9:36

    Average = 10:09 per mile

I didn't set out to go faster than usual, and I was tired before I started so actually would have been happy with my 11 min miles, so I was very pleasantly surprised when I saw the end result :D

I might be getting somewhere :p

It is taking me a while to work out how to use it - but I think I am working out one new feature a week! By the time the marathon arrives I will finally know what I am doing with it!!!!

Everyone on here seems to be making great progress! Fab club this :D

    Morning All!

Well done hypno!!!! Its great when you make progress without really trying to as well - it comes as a pleasant surprise but really its all those great interval sessions paying off again :D

Sally - you rest for 1 minute between mile intervals.

Soooo I did my 6 miles this morning but I'm no so sure I did now - I definitely counted 22 laps which is just over 6 miles but my time was 48 mins - I was on pulse 140 when I stopped but didnt really feel like I was pushing because I was in such a day dream...48 mins is way faster than last time which is making me suspicious of my time now...if I can replicate on Thursday then we'll know for sure I guess...

    Happy running everyone :D
