idio, i wear some of the strangest things when i go running. I normally jut pull something off the ironing pile in the morning. No co-ordation of fashion sense at all. As long as it doesnt restrict my running im not bothered.

jj, you'll go far! There is certainly an inverse relationship between 'looking good' and the amount of training done.
I've even known people comb their hair before going for a run!!Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

I know what you mean rich, iv seen people buy all the gear to only go out once find it hard and put it in the cupboard, telling their friends that they have bought soe really nice stuff to go running in but never us it.
I also dont like seeing people in the gym with vests on! If you cant do the exercise right with out having your muscles on show you shopuld just give it up and put some clothes on. Its right off putting trying to do sit-ups when you have a guy in a vest flexing his watevers in the mirror next to you!!!Running Club5KM - 25:20(51.21%) 10KM - 53:40(50.26%)1/2 Marathon - 2.14.57(44.20%)Marathon 5:11:00 (40.78%)0 -
Becky, that summary is well up with all expectations of where you should be at this stage.
The combinations of times and low pulses tell a clear story of how your body is coping well with what is being thrown at it. (Apart from yesterday, when it was in a bit of shock!:p).
You're getting stronger through the gradual increase in distance and weekly mileage and now you'll be introducing another level of speed from tomorrow.
So, its all going well - well done.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Hi everyone,
Back from my weekend away. Who said there was no snow in North Wales over the weekend? This is me and OH on the summit of Aran Fawddwy in Snowdonia. OK, it is nearly 3,000 ft above sea level but what's a few feet between friends?

So no running for me this weekend, but plenty of work for the legs! Off to the track for intervals tonight. Am hoping for better weather than last week, but it looks bright and clear here today so finger crossed!
It looks like everyone is doing well with their progress. I have only briefly looked through the latest posts but there is definite progress being made by one and all!Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

Just a quick question for all the experienced ruynners : how do you monitor your heart rate/ pulse? Do you have a just a watch or do you all wear a chest strap?
Thank youRunning Club5KM - 25:20(51.21%) 10KM - 53:40(50.26%)1/2 Marathon - 2.14.57(44.20%)Marathon 5:11:00 (40.78%)0 -
JJ I do mine with watch and counting by hand but I find it really difficult to take properly as mine is quite weak - when its pay day tomorrow I'm going to buy a proper running watch with HRM, but that doesnt mean you have to have one - I think any watch with seconds on should be fine its just me being useless probably0
