  • Thank RichOneDay,

That's good to know! I feel happier doing it now. I'm also using the wii-fit to help, but thats mainly to distract me from going to the snack cupboard :)

I was going to write out my penith on todays comments but you know what I can't be bothered to in any detail. Its all Pah and being a mum, working, trying to run a house, study etc is hard and sometimes virtually impossible for me to get out there and run.

One question I do have is that if I only had 1 hour a week and was overweight could you ever progress into a fast runner? Surely there comes a point where this time is not enough and I think that is the point that some peeps have been trying to make. Yes we can all get out there for x amount of time but some of us realise that due to the time we have available we will never be up there doing those fast min miles

Here endith my speech and I will say I feel quite sad tonight :(

Well, having done my long run yesterday and having the hips of a 90 year old last night and this morning, I did wonder whether I would ever run again! (briefly).....

Pania was supposed to come over this morning for a run with me but because of my aches I blew her out :o

BUT this evening, when the children were at karate, I went and did a nice 3.65 miles - I thoroughly enjoyed it!

It took me 39:30 which equals 10:50 a mile........it was comfortable and relaxed and didn't hurt at all!

    So I must be improving :j :j :j

Sally, with you on the house, studying and trying to find time for yourself...I don't really know what to say except make that one hour count! Better to do one hour a week than nothing at all...at least you will have made a start on trying to get faster.

I have been to races where the biggest women have zoomed past me.....

Thank you! I have to admit I am somewhat pleased - I could quite easily have opted for a rest day today.

Sammy hun my 1 hour a week was just a scenario to try and see if it was possible for someone in that position
