Aww poor you - wind and me dont mix so I understand what its like when you're trying to run forwards and the wind is insisting you dont!
Nice to hear the legs are fresh after Sunday though - you'll prob make an even bigger progress jump next week now...0 -
Never mind, Rich. You have sessions like that. Put it out of your mind and keep working at it.Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0

Have you ever had those moments where you actually start talking to the wind?
Well it kind of starts with 'f*** off'!
followed by
'How am I supposed to do my interval session when you're p1$$ing about like this?'
followed by
'Look, this is starting to get very annoying!'
followed by
'Right, I'm really f****d off now!'
followed by
'You Win!'

Quite right - there's no problems with having one or two sessions like this. In fact, its surprising how few days are lost to the weather all in all.
And it may well not even be a lost session, more of a reshuffling of the week, but we'll see.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Ola,
sitting her puffing like Thomas the Tank Engine after second attempt at running today...I say runnning when in fact it was a very slow jog followed by mostly walking-I kept it very brisk but my legs felt like bollards! My lungs are feeling better than Sunday though...argh!
It definately wasn't an 'improvement' on Sunday though.Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -

Your legs will still be heavy from Sunday honey...
a very slow jog is all i do too, so don't knock it!
you say your lungs felt better, then you say it wasn't an improvement on sunday, however if your lungs are better, then it must have been an improvement!!!
well done on getting out there and doing it babes!!!
Have you booked a hotel room for Leeds? I have one booked which i am sharing with Samster and Sally but if you book one too, then maybe you will want to share with Sammy or are you staying at Chez Snaggles? Not that i want rid of Sammy, cause i don't but y'know what i mean...... just wondering... we got a £29 Travelodge room right on start of the course.I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
