Idio - that is some going, especially since you have been ill. Blimey!
Bunny - well done! I am sure that mile will be yours next weekend :T :T
Becky, I was thinking of you this morning - my DS (age 13) wanted to get up and go for a run, so I set my alarm earlier than usual to get him up for his run, briefly thought about joining him round the block, then went back to bed for an extra 20 mins sleep
DS did his mile so he is obviously going to be running in the mornings and I will be running evenings......topping and tailing!
I might try and do an easy run this evening - get my legs moving after yesterday's longer run.
Hope everyone running today has a good one and doesn't get blown away!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
My legs are a wee bit sore this morning, but nothing horrible-is ok to go for a run today?
I must make more of an effort to stretch afterwards I think...Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
If you take it easy today, bunny, you should be fine. And yes, remember to stretch otherwise you will ache loads later in the week!
See......bitten by the running bug already

Must admit I almost choked on my muesli when I saw this. Is that 9st 3 1/2 lb? Are you only 4ft tall or something? Surely not a cause for Overweight Marathon Mummy status? I would have thought many of us would be thrilled to weigh that much.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

Oh man still not well, can't shift this cold off to chemist in a bit (when it stops raining for 5 minutes!) to get the strongest drugs possible! Need to get back out running soon as the challenge for Xmas is ticking on, I haven't weighed myself but I'm not worried as dh has been tucking into dd's birthday cake all weekend.0

Sally - that really can't be overweight by anyones standard!!!
you're being hard on yourself honey! and i've seen your pics and you ain't a fatty!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Sally, I'm only 5'2, and I was skinny at 9st, so I really am pretty sure you're not overweight.
Going to go for a nice long run on Wednesday, as Natasha is at nursery but I'm not back at work for another week. Well, 4 miles, but that IS long to me.
Something Bunny said struck me actually - we did a mile and she mentioned that I did it easily, and I thought 'Yes I did....wow, I can run a mile easily!'.
I know a mile isn't far, and I really SHOULD be able to run that far easily - but sometimes it's nice to realise just how far you have come, as I couldn't run to the end of the street only a few weeks ago.
By the way, the Bunny lady did fabulously, and I'm certain you will soon be flying round that mile circuit hun (watch that uphill bit, it hurts!)."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
