But I hardly ever weigh myself and I've always had chunky legs for my size so I suspect its just from there...my granny did ask me 'what do you weigh now then 7 and half stone?' so I was quite chuffed about that. And not everyone is as fat as you were to begin with Rich

Really?? Oh I hope so...looking forward to it actually, I found it tough going last time but this time I think I will enjoy it!
Muddy bottoms is about right - one puddle was mid shin height!!! My shoes are soooo filthy I'm not sure whether to wash them or dry them and brush them hmmmmm...0 -

Awwwwwwwwww am I bullying you now??
Well the good news is you must be the MSEers Run Club biggest weight loser so far as well as one of our fastest runners (dont think anyone is quicker than you but cant remember) and our person running the most miles every week, so you've got quite a lot to be cheery about I reckon

Yep, not too bad for a 'fat boy'.

Well, Snags got me out today for my first run-we mapped out a mile and even though it was very wet, cold AND windy, we did it!
Well, Snags did it easily, I ran just over half way and had to walk-my legs were ok but my lungs were all puffed out...
Snags has assured me that by Sunday next week I should be able to do the full mile without stopping, so that is my goal.
thanks for the support and welcomes btw xEmpty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
Well done Bunny - the first one is always the hardest! Its such a shock to the body - you'll be doing a mile in no time!

Hi all, just a quick one.
Was off work sick on friday with some stupid stomach bug, so gave everything a miss friday and saturday.
Was gonna have a go at the 15 today, but my legs and back (think I jarred it running down a big hill) really started to hurt around 13.2, so I called it a day there (by some awesome twist of fortune, my mum was driving past the *second* I decided to stop - so got a lift the rest of the way back
).
Was disappointed not to finish the route, but with not being well the last couple of days, wanting to be fit for footy on tuesday and the horizontal rain / *horrible* mud for most of the distance, I'm not too suicidal. (and all just under 10min/mile avg, too - faster than I hoped)
I'll get the 15 next time, gadget.
(the other good news - I wasn't even out of breath when I stopped, so am clearly getting fitter somewhere...)0
