about 6 hours i think for me by train.... no flights really suitable i don't think from here.....

and if i get the train home, i can leave in the sunday evening after a few drinks and get the sleeper home.... unless a party at snags ensues and i will get train home on monday daytime....

    Edit:
    I have a plan.....

    sat 20th
abdn - wakefield on megabus £20-ish...
wakefield to leeds by whatever bus is local.
    overnight in travelodge

    sun 21st
    RACE DAY!
mini meet and some drinks afterwards..
    back to snags for sleepover!

    Mon 22nd
Wakefield to Abdn on megabus homeward bound... £20ish

Can't book any buses this far in advance but it makes sense as train was gonna be surplus of £100 and i don't think it's too far from snaggles to wakefield so suits me.... i know lots of hours on a bus is a killer for some peeps but actually when you have kids, the idea of 10 hours with noone nipping your head seems like bliss!!!

so bring it on!!! Race fees, hotel and bus fares all for less than £100...! (not including any monies back from roomsharing @ hotel!) how MSE is that!!!? Plenty money left over for Woo Woo or a box of Pinot Grigio blush!

    Happy Bday Donna!

That "vest" thing is OK, but it just reminds me of the bibs you wear when you play footy at school...just not "hip" enough for a spunky young lad like me ;)

Footy today was *hell*...was really struggling through tiredness right from the start, had to push hard to keep going...had horrific stomach cramps afterward and my whole back seems to be wanting to fall over rather than stand up straight...I'm gonna feel this in the morning, innit...

If a vest isn't suitable for some people, what about something like this?

Also, re the Leeds run - Wakefield isn't that far away - I can definitely pick you up from the station Maz - might not be able to drive you back there the next day though... :rotfl:
