Sammy that would be good to share up to Birmingham but depends when you are planning on going back? I would love to stay sunday too but I will have to be back for work on Monday and motherly duties!

you need to stay for at least some of the sunday fun Sal.... there won't be any drinking done on the saturday night... altho we could all go out for a pizza or something, carbloading of course!

I need to get my training on track and push this so the 10k's i have planned are manageable....

    Morning All,

I think Rich mentioned he was doing Leeds as well, but I'm not sure at the moment...I could come up for drinkies though ;)

    Well I did - but it wasn't that one!!:p

However, I have looked at the course at it is blisteringly quick, especially the last 4K, so it may have to find its way into the plans somewhere.

However, like you, it depends on what happens in the marathon as to how racing plans shape up for the second half of the year.

A definite possible maybe for now!
    Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
    Blackpool Marathon 11/4/2010 (Target=2:59:59) (6:52/mile)
    Abingdon Marathon 17/10/2010, (Target=2:48:57) (6:27/mile)

    Ah my apologies Rich!

Um quick question - is anyone based in Devon?? I'm trying to find a 10 miler through Stover Country Park for Sunday and mapmyrun.com doesnt show it on street view and on satellite view its just trees (no surprise there of course!)...and I cant remember it well enough to know what would be a 10 miler...

    Thanks if anyone can help!

But can we assume that you would at least come for drinkies at night even if you weren't running?????

Maz you've bought more stuff! I have got to buy myself some trousers but i really need to try them on being vertically challenged as otherwise the legs are too long!

So I went out running, did 2.5 miles with virtually no pain then started to get a few niggles so stopped and walked the remaining 1.5 miles ok
Just got back from town and knee is decidedly stiff, no real pain but just feels like I have worked it hard. Might go see Dr's anyway as I want to try and get those tests done if you have heart problems in your family and members have died young. My dad died at 58 and grandfather at 52 so would like to know if I have the gene so I can aware.

    Right waffled enough

i know Sal, more shopping! my bad!! but to be fair, the tops will be returned if not a good fit, and the trousers are lovely so wanted another pair.... my other 2 old long pairs are shot to hell, so i may bin them, or save them for biking only, so it doesn't matter if they get oil or caught in the chain.

Good idea to get your heart thingy checked out.... no harm in being aware.

Well done on stopping and not just glorying on when the knee gave you gyp... the mile 'n' a half walk will have gave it strength again afterwards.... or something...!
