Thanks! I was looknig at the 405 but way tooo much for me I'm afraid...
, however I'm having a thought - I am going to NY in Jan - will it be cheaper over there?
Hmmm
Yes I was looking at the 405 too when they came out! They are a gorge bit of kit and a lot nicer looking that the 305! Mmmmm one day when I am rich I will have one :rotfl: but that will be a long way off
They might be cheaper over there! Deffo worth a look!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
I want (yes want want want) the 405 and would consider selling my Nike + as I really think having the HR monitor is beneficial although I do like it on the Nike when the lady or whoever tells me when I have done each mile and if I do a fastest mile you get a little pep talk from them...sad I know!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

I like that too! They are famous peeps aren't they...the ones who tell you you have done your fastest mile! I have had Lance Armstrong, Tiger Woods and some woman with a very long name! I want Paula though!!!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
I am off out to do a run in about an hour, while the kids are at karate - it is very foggy so I am glad I am not running in our village which has no pavements and no streetlights - I will be in the city so at least I can see where I am going - I always wear a reflective tabard thing - mine is a ron hill one and cost about £8 - it is nice and light and doesn't get in the way at all, and I wouldn't be without it!
I am getting a garmin 405 for my birthday from my whole family but I quite like the sound of the nike one with someone giving words of encouragement on the way round!
I have found two 20 mile races not too far away from home in February and March - I am going to incorporate them in my training schedule for FLM - it is all starting to seem soooo real!!!

For those of you looking for a hi-viz for the winter nights, I just bought my OH this for his birthday.

He doesn't like to feel too restricted so he didn't want a full jacket but this is made from mesh so is very lightweight and has lots of reflective panels and stripes on it.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

That's cool! Wonder why it is called streak? Won't catch me streaking in it
On a serious note, would be good over a little windstopper long sleeved top or something? Probably be better than a coat?
Only a few hours left for me to be 28...eeeeek! A year tomorrow and I will be 30...ahhhhhhhhh!Good times! A proper grown up then!

I liked that but then i had a vision of a boob either side of the front panel, and thought "uh oh!! that ain't gonna work!"I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
