No I didn't pop, and I feel fine today. In fact, I felt great last night too (hence why I was posting on here so late).
Next week will be the interesting session - its looking like 8:40 - 8:45 is on the cards, so that would be a nice improvement over 2 weeks.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
Blackpool Marathon 11/4/2010 (Target=2:59:59) (6:52/mile)

Yes, well it would be except that the day before I am doing Lancaster 1/2 marathon with my OH, so the little legs may be a wee bit tired. Will still do the session though, but I won't be expecting great things from it.

Providing the doctor says it's okay (and she seems pretty convinced there's nothing wrong with my heart other than it's broken
), I will definitely sign up for it - I can manage 5k without too much of a problem now, and think I could probably do 7k on a nice June day with no icy wind - so if I can keep that up, if I have to walk part of it, it's no big deal - it's all for charity after all.
I'm sure that if you manage to train between now and then, 10k will be no problem at all for you Snaggles. As you say, you can do 5k now without too much of a problem and it is over 7 months away so I'm sure you will be fine. It will give you a goal to aim for too. I just googled it and it looks like a fantastically well-supported event, which will also really help.
I'd love to join you but it is the day after I get married so I don't think I'll be able to do it next year.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

Of course! In which case you'll probably find you can't reach the same sort of HR dizzying heights - it maybe that you do similar to last time but on a lower pulse then, which is just as clear a sign of improvement.
Is that Lancaster course flat - I used to live there, there is some very hilly terrain around but I would imagine they'll try to avoid that as much as possible. Does it go out towards Morecambe?Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Yes it is flat. It starts at Salt Ayre sports centre and as far as I can remember it mainly follows cycle paths, but I can't remember exactly what route it takes. I'll have a look in the envelope for a map when I get home.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90
