I'm out this evening for another 2 miler, I haven't decided what route yet. I've got my first goal to aim for a 10km in Llandudno in February so should be achievable.

    Morning all.
Hope everyone had a good weekend and has a good week.

Did 2.4 miles yesterday morning - 18.32. Asthma played up Saturday night and didnt get much sleep so probably in hindsight shouldnt have ran yesterday but did.

9.3miles of running last week and 16.5miles walking. Richoneday kindly arranged a plan for me and it was 8 miles running and 12 miles walking so did a little more which I dont know is good or bad.

    Hobsch,

You're doing really well, and have clearly progressed in a short time. I'd be careful about pushing the running mileage on too quickly, but more walking for strengthening work is just what the doctor ordered.

The more walking now, the more strength you will feel in your running later....so good effort.

I've been thinking - I would really like to do the Leeds 'Run for All', but it's 10k and it's in June - I'm feeling fairly confident with 5k now, and 4 miles (not quite sure what that is in kilometres - 6 and a bit?) is bearable but challenging - is it realistic to be able to run 10k by spring, bearing in mind I can probably only run 2 or 3 times a week?

Thanks Rich. I have had a mixed up week in terms of days I could do some running so I went over although not intentionally. Hopefully this week will be much better.

Thats no problem - you've got to allow for flexibilty. As long as the general thrust of a plan is followed you'll head towards your goal slowly, but surely.
