I've been thinking - I would really like to do the Leeds 'Run for All', but it's 10k and it's in June - I'm feeling fairly confident with 5k now, and 4 miles (not quite sure what that is in kilometres - 6 and a bit?) is bearable but challenging - is it realistic to be able to run 10k by spring, bearing in mind I can probably only run 2 or 3 times a week?

I'll do it with you Mrs S - depending on the date - hopfully it won't clash with the RFL 5k here.....

I am really slow though, so it will probably be a case of starting at the same time, and then me catching up with you at the finish line a couple of days later... :rotfl:

Seems insane to think of ME running 10k!! :o:o

I've just had my hair cut, from really long, to just above shoulder length - will that improve my speed at all??:p

Yeah, bound to! Carrying that much less weight around has to help - to say nothing of the increase in aerodynamic efficiency...

Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

When I ran Leeds we had a nightmare evening/ night before, we had no money so had to take pasta salad with us to have for dinner. It rained during the night and had problems with a noisy roof so had to move rooms in the early hours! Not a good rest.

R.e hair, I'm going the other way and growing my hair long after having very short hair for a while.
