Re Icesave - as I understand it they are UK registered and are therefore covered by the FSCS, so I think it's just going to be a case of 'wait and see but don't panic'.

Thanks for the info on the South Leeds race Rich.

Still not sure whether to run today or not - I haven't had any more twinges but my knee feels generally a bit achy. I think I might give it a try and see how it feels after 2.5k, then decide whether to carry on or not. It seems a pity not to go out and run today though...have you seen that weird shiny thing in the sky?!

Thanks Sally, I'll be careful I promise (and thanks Becky, as you mentioned it too).

I haven't damaged the ligament as such - they are just too stretchy (some weird pregnancy thing that never quite went away) and the joints can become unstable if I overdo things, but it's usually my hips, not my knees.

God I sound about 90!! :rotfl:

Here's the official word on Icesave by the way:

Crucially, this morning, Chancellor Alastair Darling said that ALL cash in Icesave will be guaranteed by the UK government i.e. not just the first £50k. This has now been confirmed by an official Treasury statement, including the following:

The UK authorities expect that Landsbanki will soon be declared in default. Should that occur, the Chancellor has put in place arrangements to ensure that no retail depositor will lose any money as a result of the closure of Icesave.
