Thats because your a super star Mermaz....
tell you one thing though, I really thought running would help me to loose some weight but actually it hasn't. I know its down to how I run and also the fact I stuff my face but im in training now ;) and am really trying to loose a stone (just to help me get around a bit quicker)

Well popped into DD pre-school this morning and told them of my intentions to run LM and wanted to donate 1/2 of donations to them....lady cried with joy as they are desperate for funds, so know I have done a good thing. What made me smile is when she asked me if I was "a runner" I could reply for the first time ever I felt I could actually say yes!

It almost impossible to say 'No' to that question when you've completed a continuous half marathon and are now training for a marathon.

If thats not a runner, what is?

    Sat 4/10 10K 1:02:46 (Pulse 116)
    Sun 5/10 10K 1:02:21 (Pulse 118)

    Tues 7/10 10K 00:59:40 (Pulse 122)
    Weds 8/10 10K 00:58:38 (Pulse 118)

Well that was a lovely run, hot sunshine and a nice cool breeze. This can't be October can it? I can feel where the sun was burning my face!

Anyway, another good run in the sequence and it now shows a really good example of a rolling training effect. Each day is seeing the benefit of work that was done 3-5 days earlier and because the efforts are being kept low (around 120pulse) there isn't much in the way of damage and waste products being produced.

Having said that, there is a little bit of leg heaviness now, so hopefully with tomorrow just being a walk it should revitalise the legs again.

    Hi everyone

I have to confess to having a lazy streak since completing my 10 miler on Sunday. Reading everyone's reports since then makes me :o but I promise I'll be back on track tomorrow lunchtime when I'll run 6 miles, then 10 miles on Friday. I have to get these done as my long runs for the next two Sundays are 18 miles each

I'll have to include a hill or two to compensate for missing hill training tomorrow evening as I'm attending presentation at my old Uni.

Hope to have a good report to post tomorrow

well done Rich, your training is really taking effect isn't it. Can I ask do you take your pulse as soon as you finish?

I take it around 1 minute after the end. In one sense it doesn't matter too much as long as you take at a consistent time so that you can see your own progress and compare runs.

hey guys - just got back after a hilly six miles. I am knackered now but it seemed to get better the longer it went on. I am going to sort out a race every month or so until the Edinburgh Marathon at the end of May. Two or three 10ks followed by a couple of 10 milers and then half marathons.

That sounds like just about a perfect set of races to prepare you nicely.

You'll certainly have a good idea how the marathon is likely to go by the time you get to the start line.

    Good luck.
