I want a runchum. Where do I buy one? Do they sell em on Ebay?

Whatever you do don't put it into google - you never know what you'll end up with....OH's don't make good runchums!
I would be your runchum if you lived nearer:pQuality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Seconded - we would kill each other. He offers 'helpful' advice though and regales me with tales of how far he can run (which is always a good bit further than I can run). :rolleyes:OH's don't make good runchums!
Oh, and.....he can run up hills no problem, apparently, so I am clearly just being a wimp...

Whenever I say to OH I am going for a run he says I will come with you...so I get up and dressed and wait - and wait and wait and wait....three hours later he is ready and the moment has passed. Then the last run we went on he turned round half way through and walked home!!!
Its a shame as he was a really good runner once...he did a marathon in 3 and a half hours....although as he reminded me this morning he was only 25 at the time and much fitter!Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

I did see someone on a 'local' forum for my area post up asking if anyone fancied joining up with them for runs (strangely, being a young female, she got lots of men answering ). I have mixed feelings about the idea, I would love that extra motivation to get out, but have found when I've trained with other people before it really frustrates me if we're not at the same level. My OH is annoyingly fit as he has a physical job, but thinks I'm crazy for going out running :rotfl:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

My girlfriend will catch a bus to go two stops. She will complain if I make her walk more than a couple of minutes. However as I have pointed out to her she is quite happy to walk up and down the shopping streets all afternoon - spending my money :rotfl:“The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it.” Eckhart Tolle0

Running partners are a nightmare fullstop. Even if you are the same standard:
a) You are very unlikely to stay the same standard and
b) Even if you do stay the same standard you are unlikely to want to do the same runs at the same time.
So, because everyone compromises, nobody ends up doing the training they want to.
However, I do see the point of females pairing up on dark nights to get runs done that would otherwise be blank. But a female pairing up with a random male just shouts problems. Whats the chances of them being equally matched? So males being males there may just be an ulterior motive, although I wouldn't be able to elaborate on that sort of thing........:oGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
