Could you maybe get a cheap flight up?

Sorry guys - I havent heard about mine yet...but then I'm not in the ballot places. How you're not too disappointed??
Too be honest I am not too disappointed. I have done it three times in the last four years and I would really like to broaden my experience by doing other Marathons. A weekend in Edinburgh in May will be brill.

There are for Feb though - I suspect May falls into their 'summer' schedule so wont be released yet...do they do alerts when flights are released??

The Feb ones came in at about £25 each way including taxes...actual flights were 0.49!

It would still be expensive though all in. I'm thinking of doing Bath Half if I dont get in is that a possible for you? I know its not a full one but hey!

Becky am thinking I will do the Bath Half anyway and probably the Bristol again as I am determined to smash my last time :) To be honest I think that the Edinburgh Marathon is going to be a bit tricky and too expensive to realistically do. Maybe 2010 when I am debt free :)

Snaggles you worked out your route home yet?? You do realise if you buy some new kit we will want to see pictures of it modelled by yourself later :)

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: NO!! :p:D

My route home is really easy actually - run a mile along straight road, run a mile uphill up another straight road.

But actually, I might just go and do my normal run instead.....not sure yet.

Sally, if you want to come up i can put you up for the night no probs... i'm about and hour n a half from Edinburgh but as i'd be coming to cheer you on anyways, it would be no hassle.... bring B too...!!! Me n Erin will amuse her while you run....

I've even sorted out the sleeping arrangements in my head!

check flights into Aberdeen, maybe cheaper?
