Summary of yesterday : The governments of UK, Germany, Iceland, Luxembourg, France, Austria, Belgium, USA and The Netherlands all had to either rescue banks or let them go under.
And that was before last night's disaster which has been described as cataclysmic by normally sober journalists.
I think everybody should be keeping a keen eye on what's going on at the moment.
Roll on Thursday for another US attempt at a rescue - although that may have little effect.
Interesting times......

Think there will be many people not sleeping very well at the moment!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Increased pace comes from increased stride length but it has to come naturally. Trying to extend stride length in normal running will cause 'overstretching' injuries.
Does that answer the question?
yes thank you very much..... so arm movement is a comfort thing... and not wholly necessary?
What's the significance of sub 10k and arm use? You said "very little in terms of propulsion for 10K+. "I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
A little confession......
The 'turf' is probably destined for Wembley or somewhere of that ilk! There are no lumps, bumps wet patches and its perfectly mown and flat and I wish my garden lawn was even a 1/4 as lovely! I am sure the turf growers would not be too thrilled at the sight of me lumbering breathlessly round their georgeous football/bowling pitch!:rotfl: :rotfl:
Rich yes you really are very, very clever but doesn't having too much knowledge of what is happening in the money markets make it all the more scarey? Mortgage rates of 15% I do remember those times and it's hard to imagine how we would cope with that again - having survived it once, could we really survive it again?0 -
