Well, I went.. it was warm and humid and a bit of a struggle, got a bit of a dodgy stomach which didn't help (but no, I didn't do a 'Paula' :rotfl:).. managed about two miles but took it very easy, glad to be back out there again thoughDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Hi guys - thanks for all your support.
did the 10k cancer research run at sandringham this morning. did it in 1hr and 30min exactly. am really impressed with myself - not bad for a 15st lump even if i do say so myself! lol
it was a beautiful morning, overcast and cool. the grounds at sandringham are spectacular to run in - although her maj was not there to cheer us all on!
am now thinking about my next run - i think I will do 10k again as I am just getting into this running lark - also I really felt as though I struggled from 7k onwards so would like to improve that. am thinking about January time so if anyone has any ideas - let me know!!
thanks again

Congratulations Jenny!!! :T:T:T I hope you're really proud of yourself ....especially due to you weight! Don't knock it as you'll soon be getting rid of it with such fantastic runs as that - and the practising for them. You've done yourself proud - just a pity our Liz didn't think so and come out and give you a curtsy at the very least!! :rolleyes:All the best for ....next time!

Afternoon all!
Tried to post earlier but lost it and gave up...
well done Jenny thats great!
Good for you Red - keep going 2 miles is great with a bad stomach!
Some more new members - Spud you don't have to run - there are plenty of walkers on here too, the thread is for everyone whatever their ability or goals.
So I managed a 5 mile run followed by a 4 mile walk yesterday which is okay and got my 7.5 tonight... not looking forward to it as I have sore kidneys (maybe an infection getting it checked out tomorrow), but the exciting news is I start my Rich training plan tomorrow - yeah!
See you all later (I'm off to chuckle at the house board...).

Well done Jenny, fantastic achievement. I'm in awe of anyone who can run 10k at the moment, it's just such a long way!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Oh, I can do walking, but am probably too fat for any running :rolleyes:Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Well I'm sure thats not the case, but if you feel more comfortable start with walking...I'm sure Rich posted some great advice about how to do it to get the best effect a few pages back (anyone?)
Its really about getting out and about - if you're starting from zero it can be daunting, but jinky has really embraced the DFW running ideals recently, we'll keep hassling you till you do to:rotfl:0 -
Hiya Spud, there's no such thing as too fat to run hun (well, maybe in America
). Give it a go, you might surprise yourself. Or just stay and post anyway, cos we love ya! Oh and well done to anyone who has run today, Maz, squizz, sally...apologies if I've missed anyone, it's hard to read it all on such a tiny screen. By the way, if anyone can tell me how to do paragraphs, as I don't have a return key, I would be most appreciative!!
