RE: the reduced sex drive, that is if you overdo it i.e. go out running hard every day. Why do you think we always say you need rest days? It's that (and the endorphins) that make us act like teenage boys sometimes :rotfl:

surely you mean ALL the time?:D

Actually, I had a bit of an epiphany today.....(hit 'page down' now if you 're easily bored...)

I was recently in a position where someone, hopefully unintentionally, took the very tiny little bit of remaining self-esteem I posess, scrunched it into a ball and kicked it as far as they could (don't feel sorry for me, this isn't a self-pity post, lol :)).

Anyway, today I was trying on clothes (okay, okay, I maybe COULD have fitted in a quick run, but the lure of the White Rose Centre was too strong :p), and everything was making me look shapeless and baggy.....and then suddenly I realised they were all too big! :j

And it made me feel great, that only a few weeks of a healthier lifestyle were having such a quick and obvious impact.

But more than that, I realised that for the first time in my entire life, I wasn't doing this for anyone elses benefit, I was doing it for ME. And I might not look like Kylie, I might not be bubbling over with confidence, but actually, I'm a nice person, I care about other people, I try never to hurt their feelings, I make a point of encouraging and supporting my friends....

So from now on, if you don't like me, nuts to ya, cos I'm alright!

    :p

    (strange, hormone-fuelled rant over)

Don't worry, it's only my wife-to-be that has to deal with me in those "pesky" moods!

............. who talk rather a lot....

but if you can talk and run at the same time, that's a good thing innit?

So we are just working on that aspect of our training programme, alright!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....
