yeah, small point emmylou...
go pee before you start too... even if you don't need to!

it can sometimes help to take a drink, as the act seems to regulate my breathing somehow... and it's nice to be able to wet your whistle as your mouth can get dry when breathing hard.....
better to have it and not need it, than not have it and wish you did....
like anything it's horses for courses i'd say.... not disagreeing with magnus pyke over there (professor richoneday!) but you do what's right for you!

It wouldn't be the same without the verbal rucks. I'm a bit confused as to who is supposed to be the backchatter, I reckon you've got the skill down to a fine art.
BTW This banking merger is bad news either way:
1. Merger fails - HBOS goes under triggering other collapses that will end god knows where.
2. Merger succeeds - 40,000 job losses.
Lesser of two evils I suppose.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

You need drinks on 10 miles + but I'm hoping you're not going to be trying that today.
PS Just to reiterate - as slow as you can! (I know I'm a pain, but I don't want you getting injured and being put off!)
I never take water. I only had a drink at the water stop on my 10k race because I felt I should :rotfl:, I went on a trainng 10k run in central London with some other people that were doing it and didn't have a drink until after a tube ride, train ride and walk home.
I agree about going for a pee though! Even if you don't feel you need to when you leave the house, you soon will!
Saying that, I've never run 10 miles, and would probably want to take some water then.Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0 -
