YAY!! I love what you have done with the place... It has been months since i've been on here... sulking after a long and complicated medical problem... booooo! medical problem is half way between the "stuff it I just want to run" and the trainers "ok you can run, but GENT-LEY!!!" process... so thought it wise to make a comeback. also as i need some motivation to get my sorry arriss out of bed and to the gym at 0630!!! I'm looking forward to loosing the lazy weight that seems to have accrued too!!!!
I honestly can't believe this has kept going so long and it is all credit to you guys for doing it. xxx
Hey P. Just noticed you are back!
I am in need of a bit of motivation myself. Getting back into training after losing my mother to cancer last month. Went out for a six mile run on Sunday and planning to run with my mates at the running club tomorrow.
The guys on this thread have been a great support by the way“The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it.” Eckhart Tolle0 -
Righto guys another day in paradise nearly over... thanks for your company!
It is a lovely evening here, sky is bright and clear for the first time in ages! there has been no rain today...
Off to get ready for running club, i can feel it in my bones, this is going to be a good run!
See ya'll later, i will check in and let you know how it goes... hoping to recapture last weeks glow! (not too many endorphins though, well not the "naughty" making ones anyhow!!)I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

I "ran" at a guess somewhere between 500m and 1/2 a mile... when i stopped to tie my shoelace and thought oh oh not going to be able to start again lol so walked the rest. Can't say I enjoyed it as such and its really not as easy to sing when running as it is when walking... guess i should have thought of that first right? I do feel somewhat virtuous now im home though. Done some leg stretches to try and prevent them being too achey tomorrow. Not quite as sweaty as I would have liked either lol.
So... if im not in pain lol could i go for another slow jog tomorrow? Or am I best to wait until friday? and perhaps just do some trampette and floor exercises tomorrow?
Well done.
Now that is the hardest session done...the first one. The main aim is to not get put off by it being too stressful, so that seems to have been achieved.
Friday will be your peak 'achey' day, so no more running until Saturday. You can walk as much as you like in the interim as long as its not so called 'power walking'. Any stretching or 'non load bearing' exercises are fine also (I think trampetting probably comes into that category ).
Then on Saturday you will be starting with a fresh pair of legs but with a bit more feel for what you're going to experience so you should be able to go further into the loop.
So far so good then. I'm looking forward to the next instalment. You're allowed to feel virtuous btw, even smug if you want.

What happend to my HBoS O/D if they go belly up?
And I carry water in warmer months but it tended to go over my head to keep me cool rather than down my throat to quench my thirst...
Nice idea but unfortunately you wont notice any difference. Financial debt packages are sold on all the time without anyone noticing. I'm afraid the OD will not disappear unless you go to Columbia and dont tell anyone.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Following today's merger proposals I thought I'd have a doodle to come up with a new logo for the combined operation:

I suppose our Howard isn't so bad but Halifax do have some cringeworthy adverts.
Well, what do you reckon? Do you think he looks good on the back of the black horse? This may just get him a job in the new set-up.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
