  • Herewegoagain - hi, not sure if this is what you meant, but when I'm running I breathe out for two footfalls and breathe in for one, and that seems to be standard advice for "efficient" breathing. If that feels too hard, try slowing up till you can manage it. Really hope your joints are ok for April. Probably a silly question but have you had your running gait/shoes checked recently? I had no end of hip and knee pains until I found the right shoes - but no problems since. If you do nothing else you must have decent shoes, but I'm sure you know that.

I haven't been running since last wednesday, and probably won't until this wednesday as busy tomorrow

Hope we can manage 30 mins again. Once a week running is not good but other things seem to have taken precedence...

    ooops!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

Well been out this morning and done 5 miles. Don't seem to get any quicker though, 51 mins so getting a bit dispondant. I know I really need to start a proper training plan so that I don't just do medium paced running everytime and vary it a bit.
Going to apply this week for Bristol half....yikes!
Only 1 more run before RFL on Sunday...not sure whether I would prefer rain or sun...actually overcast would be great as its at 11am.

    right all you runners...get running.

Im so not a proper runner Maz. It was only this morning that I was thinking that there are some people who are natural runners and make it look so easy...then there is me. I bumble along legs and arms all over the place, sweating like a P.I.G and you should see my colour bright bright red when I get back. I am so not a natural and I don't think any amount of training will ever change that!

Will be checking up on you Maz...:rotfl:

    Morning All

28.34 :j Ran like the wind this morning and am completely knackered, but on the positive side I know I can do 5k sub 30 mins..

Am however allowing myself 35 mins for RFL due to very very hilly course and slower people who may hold me up PMSL!:rotfl:

So there we are last run before the RFL on Sunday. DH said last night he was really looking forward to it, bet he is, standing on the sideline, relaxing, watching me in the 2ft mud pit of a course (its going to pour with rain).
