Hope you have a good run Maz, day off for me today and actually I think im coming down with something (sinuses, tickly throat and banging head).
Cnoelj do you continue to train/run when you have a cold? I dont want to miss out on my training just because of a cold but equally I don't want to make it worse. Lovely Medal by the way, is it the first time you have run the LM?I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

HI Sally, actually I've only run 3 times since December, when I did a 3-mile race. Last couple of times I've been interspersing 5 mins running with 1 min walking (roughly) and finding it easy. I will study that programme and see if I can get up to 45 mins running by June.
I've registered for a 1 mile Fun Run on 4 May, as a nice little milestone along the way.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -

You did a 3 mile race so im sure it won't take you long to get back to that fitness level at all. Im doing the RFL in July but I feel I might have to sign up for another 5k a bit before this so it keeps me motivated and aiming for something.I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. Yay Sarah
I have been waiting for you to join, hearing of your running on cannock chase I thought you might succombe to the club soon! Your RFL is the same date as mine, so I will be thinking of you. Ive signed up for the marathon 2009  after seeing my sister do it this year it spurred me on (always wanted to run it and applied several times about 10 years ago).I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I was considering doing the great north run next year.. making a jump from 3 and a bit miles to 13m is going to be bad enough without doing a FULL marathon.. :rotfl:Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Hi IA :hello: If I remember rightly you are somewhere in the first few pages of this thread (was reading through the running club's early days the other day)
Good luck with the running!
Brilliant medal cnoelj :T and great stuff Maz getting up early on a Sunday
Still not feeling 100% today, had a ridiculous amount of sleep so there must be something up! Need a few bits and pieces in town so gonna walk in and probably back, round trip of about 5 miles, might go a bit further if I feel ok when I'm out there.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
