No as it was charity and golden bond etc. Would like to get in on ballot then you don't need to worry about raising £1500!!!!

I managed to !!!! up my application..grrr got to end and it said thank you for agreeing to donate my application money (which I didn't!) so I tried to go back to beginning and of course now I can't put details in again as ive used email address and it says already used. Can't do another application as multiple ones will be disqualified. Not sure whether it will have gone through or not....I am useless at times.
I went and supported my sister yesterday and it was amazing, she finished in just under 5 hours and I was so proud of her. Spurred me to get on and do it myself!

  • Hi Squirrel

As far as I am aware they only take your money if you get in through the ballot and that won't be until October. I would apply as soon as possible as they are closing the application process when they reach a certain limit.

Am lying on settee, really need to go upstairs but just can't bring myself to do it

Loved it though and would encourage anyone to do it

Well been out for my first run of the week...god I had forgotten how good it makes me feel afterwards! I hope all of those that ran yesterday are feeling ok and not aching too much!

  • Yes I've paid upfront, didn't realise, guess they repay you if you don't get in then

Don't feel so bad, was on a massive high last night and had a tad to much to drink  . Felt rotten this morning, me and DH in hysterics trying to get down 4 stairs to the lift, then laughing as we spotted who had run the marathon in the breakfast room.

Then.........we had to tackle the tube. Never known such pain, I ended up turning around and going down the steps backwards, quite literally had no choice :rotfl: Sat on train for 2 hours, fell asleep, woke up to realise we were at our stop and had to leg it off with a heavy bag - we just looked very odd :rotfl:

Came home to a banner from the kids and cards, now crashed out on the settee and intend to go backwards up the stairs to bed shortly.

But, it was all worth it and I even now get emotional about bits that I remember, like seeing friend, people shouting, taking sweets from kids....I could go on and on....
